We learned some new names yesterday and had a few names resurface at the Border Battle!

[player_tooltip player_id='1552934' first='Will' last='Brands'] of Totino-Grace (6'5 sr). For those that watched 17u this summer, you know [player_tooltip player_id='1552934' first='Will' last='Brands']. He was an excellent player for the Minnesota Rush and he plays his role very well for the Eagles. Tonight he rebounded, played strong in the bucket and made the best of his five attempts scoring 13 (he missed nothing). HIt three threes for the winners.

[player_tooltip player_id='2295283' first='DeAngelo' last='Dungey'] of Breck (6'2 soph). A sophomore that has had a really good year working his way into a tough Mustang starting five. Dungey is active on defense, runs the floor well with a team that gets up and down, and he made a three. Had ten points, four boards and three assists in the Breck win over Heritage Christian.

[player_tooltip player_id='1437335' first='Owen' last='Kemper'] of Edina (6'1 sr). One of my favorite performances of the day was that from Kemper, the Edina lead guard. I thought Owen did a tremendous job winning his battle on both ends. He got the corner turn to attack and create for others plus score three times and he won the angle defensively the majority of the time. Six assists, a great defensive effort and two threes that got him to a dozen points for the game.

Billy DeMars of Edina (6'4 jr). Edina shot the ball well and between DeMars and Coleman, they stretched the River Falls defense to the point that it broke early and broke often. His four threes including the late game four point play were a big part of the Edina win. DeMars had 15 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1391203' first='Mitchell' last='Kauch'] of Orono (6'2 jr). Kauch knocked out for threes, hit another bucket, and took the right shots without hurting the team. Good defense, good decisions, and an all around steady fifth starter for a top five team in the state.

Aidan Memene of Park Center (6'2 sr). This is more of a reintroduction. Memene played the 8th/9th man role last year and had a nice summer. He is just coming back from an injury and had 11 points and six rebounds including a couple threes in today's win.
