Laue moves up one spot from #3 to #2. The 6’9 physical specimen is averaging a double-double at 16 points and 13 rebounds per game for Class B powerhouse Castlewood. He’s one of the rare legitimate true post prospects in the state. He’s a banger in the interior and will power through contact to score. Currently uncommitted DI prospect.
Bruns has been a breakout scorer in the state in his new role. He’s around the 23 ppg. mark and he’s being very assertive. He’s filling out physically and maturing in that regard. At 6’2 I don’t think size is much of an issue.
Hanson has been consistently very good all season, and he’s scoring around 24 ppg. Coming off a 34-point 17 rebound performance in a big win versus Baltic last night. He’s an easy D2 prospect, with his size and ability to be physical and shoot the ball as well.
Highlights
Terveen is taking on the scoring charge for O’Gorman, leading them in that category. He’s coming off a 23-point performance, raising his 15-16 ppg. average some. He came from the JV ranks a year ago to be one of the best prospects in AA. Also, he’s a willing defender with a good approach and ability to pressure and stay in front. Below he makes an impressive play with a dunk to finish.
Highlights
Twin brother of Austin, Caleb, happens to be improving his stock as well. He’s a good mover and makes teams pay from three, with a smooth and consistent stroke. A solid defender that gives effort on that end.
Rapid City Christian is one of the top teams in Class A, and Frog has a lot to do with that. He’s got an impressive size and shooting combination. He brought people on notice at the Hanson Classic, scoring 19 points on 3-5 shooting from three. He’s an NAIA/JUCO prospect by my opinion.
Kloth raised his stock by growing to a ridiculously long 6’10. He’s playing behind another 6’9-6’10 Kloth, so we’ll see what he becomes a year from now. Needs to put on some mass. There’s not many 6’10 kids floating around, so I’m sure some school will take a chance on him and develop him.
I’ve made it clear I’m higher on Segrist than most, and he bumped up the rankings. He’s got solid length and he’s skilled with the ball. A major threat from three. He can play on and off the ball, and he’s a defensive playmaker for Rapid City Stevens.
I’ve seen Pierre only a few times, but it’s clear that Getz’ stock is up in a big way. A long wing that can stretch the floor from three. He’s been aggressive from that range as well, not shying away from taking shots if given space. He’s a next-level wing.
He’s been slept on for far too long and he’s given due respect. A starter on the most talented team in the state, Jude can handle the rock and push the pace, with vision and legit passing ability. He can play at the next level.
A college coach has to fall in love with Collette’s ability from three. I think he’s a top three-point shooter in the state. He’s averaging around 10-11 per game. He’s an NAIA/D3 kid that I think would be a better college player than high school.
