Diers was a pleasant surprise for the Blue Raiders, netting 26 points in their win over North Cedar to kick things off on Saturday. He shoots it well both off the dribble and the catch, and showed the ability to create his own shot with good footwork and ball-handling.
SG Tyson Seeser Tyson Seeser 6'5" | SG Camanche | 2025 State IA (Camanche)
Seeser had an electric start to Camanche’s game against Durant, scoring 21 points in the first quarter, including the first 13 points of the game for the Storm. A lanky 6-4 wing who can get to the bucket off the dribble, he has good size and length on the perimeter and he uses it effectively on the defensive end as well, coming away with 2 steals and 2 blocks to go with his 29 points (14-22 shooting). He’s a capable perimeter shooting threat, but is at his best when he’s playing downhill and attacking the rim, both in transition, where he finishes above the rim, and in the halfcourt.
SF Pierson White Pierson White 6'4" | SF Camanche | 2025 State IA (Camanche)
A big 6-4 wing who sees the floor extremely well, White was excellent as a facilitator in Camanche’s blowout win over Durant, finishing with 9 assists to go with 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 steals. He uses his big, physical frame to bully his way to the rim, but also to see over the defense, and he has a deft touch on his passes, hitting his cutting teammates in stride or getting it into their shooting pockets so they are ready to fire immediately off the catch. He plays with good pace and doesn’t get sped up.
SG Ace Peck Ace Peck 6'1" | SG Mid-Prairie | 2025 State IA (Mid-Prairie)
A 6-2 off-ball guard who primarily operates as a shooting threat, Peck had a fantastic game against Bellevue, scoring 26 points on 9-15 shooting, including going 7-13 from behind the arc. He has a quick release off the catch and does a great job utilizing off-ball screens to free himself up to get his shot off. However, he also showed some ability to create plays for his teammates off the dribble, keeping the ball moving, dishing out 5 assists.
PG Brady Weber Brady Weber 5'10" | PG Mid-Prairie | 2025 State IA (Mid-Prairie)
Weber is small, listed at 5-9, but he’s quick, tough, and is a dynamic two-way player for the Golden Hawks. He had 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3P), 6 rebounds, 11 assists, and 2 steals in their loss to Bellevue. He sees the floor well, is a good ball-handler, and he puts constant pressure on opposing teams with his speed on both ends of the floor.
PG Gavin Kramer Gavin Kramer 6'1" | PG Northeast | 2025 State IA (Northeast)
Kramer is a tough, physical, versatile two-way guard for the Rebels who makes a significant impact on both ends of the floor on nearly every possession. He has the strength and toughness to bump down and defend bigger bodies, and the quickness and length to defend on the perimeter. Offensively, he sees the floor really well and is a talented passer who likes to get his teammates involved, but he’s also a high-level shooting threat who can get hot in a hurry and burn teams from deep. He had 23 points on 7-14 shooting (5-12 3P), 7 rebounds, and 7 assists in Northeast’s win over West Liberty.
SG Jackson Lieurance Jackson Lieurance 6'2" | SG Cascade | 2025 State IA (Cascade)
Lieurance delivered one of the best in-person performances that I’ve seen, dropping a school-record 47 points on 17-22 shooting (10-12 3P, 3-3 FT), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a block in Cascade’s win over Wilton. A sharpshooting 6-2 guard who moves extremely well without the ball in his hands, he has the picturesque, quick release that coaches try to teach their shooters, and honestly, it’s a surprise when his shot doesn’t drop. He makes the game look effortless, getting to his spots whenever he wants and when he’s shooting in rhythm, good luck slowing him down. In addition to his dynamic shot making, he has improved as a ball-handler and playmaker, seeing the floor at a high level and getting his teammates involved well.
