PF [player_tooltip player_id='2377311' first='Johny' last='Amina'] (North Cedar)

An athletic, mobile 6-4/6-5 big man, Amina showed a solid mid-range jumper throughout North Cedar's loss to Anamosa, routinely knocking down 15 footers off the catch, getting good elevation on his shot, which makes it difficult to contest. He's a beast on the glass, high-pointing the ball and elevating above opposing players to grab rebounds left and right, and he showed good timing and instincts as a shot blocker. He finished with 19 points on 9-17 shooting to go with 15 rebounds and 4 blocks.

PF [player_tooltip player_id='1476991' first='Demarion' last='Honaker'] (Camanche)

Camanche met little resistance against Durant, and Honaker took full advantage, stuffing the stat sheet to the tune of 18 points (6-8 shooting, 1-2 3P, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks. An athletic 6-6/6-7 forward with length and explosive leaping ability, Durant simply had no answer for his combination of size, length, and athleticism. He showed good court vision and better passing instincts than we've ever seen from him, as well as the addition of a bit of range to his game, showing confidence in his 3-point stroke. He's a really good rebounder and rim protector who finishes above the rim in transition with authority.

SF [player_tooltip player_id='1256303' first='Eli' last='Kluesner'] (Beckman Catholic)

Beckman struggled on the offensive end for much of their game against Tipton, but Kluesner had a really good second half en route to 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. He's a good athlete on the wing with the size and court vision to create plays for himself and his teammates at a high level. He keeps the ball moving on the offensive end and does a good job putting his passes into positions for his teammates to immediately get shots up.

SF Dylan Henry (Mid-Prairie)

A 6-2 wing who showed the ability to play with or without the ball in his hands, Henry had 16 points on 7-11 shooting (2-5 3P), 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks in a very entertaining loss to Bellevue. He shoots it well off the catch and moves without the ball in his hands well, but he also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and create for his teammates. He rotates well on the defensive end and is a strong help defender.

SF Jayce McHugh (West Liberty)

Not much went right for the Comets in their loss to Northeast, but McHugh was a bright spot, finishing with 24 points on 10-14 shooting, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. A bouncy wing who can put the ball on the floor and get to the bucket, he's an efficient finisher who can power through contact and finish with either hand at the rim. He uses his length effectively on the defensive end, contesting shots and getting into passing lanes, and he sees the floor well, showing the ability to create for his teammates as well as himself.

SF [player_tooltip player_id='1376706' first='Landyn' last='Putman'] (Wilton)

Putman had another efficient scoring game for the Beavers, using his solid frame to get to the rim for finishes both in the halfcourt and in transition routinely. He had 19 points on 7-13 shooting to go with 4 rebounds and an assist in their loss to Cascade. He can score from all three levels, create for himself and his teammates, and his length can be an asset on the defensive end.

PF [player_tooltip player_id='1171677' first='Preston' last='Ries'] (Monticello)

Ries wasn't quite as dominant as he usually is in Monticello's loss to Regina, but he still finished with 19 points on 7-9 shooting (5-6 FT) and 6 rebounds, a testament to just how dominant he usually is that this would be considered a bit of an underwhelming game. His physicality and athleticism set him apart from the rest of the competition whenever he takes the floor at this level.

PF [player_tooltip player_id='1476994' first='Reese' last='Trepanier'] (West Branch)

Trepanier battled foul trouble throughout the Bears' loss to Maquoketa, but still found his way to 16 points (6-9 shooting, 1-1 3P, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. A tough, physical forward, he plays bigger than his listed size because of his strength and non-stop motor. He has good, soft hands, and corrals every rebound that is in his area.
