1. Garfield Heights (11-0)
With wins over Huntington Prep, Western Reserve Academy and Richmond Heights, Garfield Heights has the top resume in the state and is clearly deserving of the top spot in our rankings.
2. Saint Ignatius (10-2)
I think a tier has emerged from these two teams and the rest of the pack as Ignatius has only lost to Richmond Heights and St Joseph’s Prep from Philadelphia. Their marquee wins include Reynoldsburg, Louisville, Brunswick, Medina and Saint Edward.
3. Olentangy Orange (10-0)
With a handful of impressive wins against teams like New Albany, Westerville North, Westerville Central and Hilliard Bradley, Olentangy Orange is an easy choice to make the top five and slides in at number three.
4. Delaware Hayes (10-1)
Another team with some impressive wins against Cooper, Big Walnut, Westerville North and Olentangy Berlin, Hayes has a strong resume. It took a 40 point effort from Kruz McClure Kruz McClure 6'6" | SG Westerville South | 2025 State #183 Nation OH to beat them, they’ll get a rematch in early February against Westerville South.
5. Archbishop Moeller (10-1)
Their lone loss comes on the road to a Centerville squad that also finds themselves on our watchlist. With wins over STVM, Withrow, Princeton and Turpin puts Moeller in the top 5. Their game against Elder tonight will say a lot about the GCL-South race as it gets started.
6. Findlay (8-0)
With blowout wins over Toledo Whitmer and Lima Sr, Findlay has a quality resume for an unbeaten team at this stage of the season. They play Ottawa Glandorf tomorrow and have a rematch with Whitmer in February.
7. Louisville (10-1)
Their lone loss comes to Saint Ignatius and the Leopards have wins over Hoban, Walsh Jesuit and an out of state tournament. I’ll be curious how their game against currently unbeaten CVCA goes.
8. Toledo Whitmer (9-1)
Another team who has their only loss against a team ranked above them, every Whitmer win besides Lima Sr has been by double-digits. Their rematch with Findlay will be circled on both teams calendars.
9. Cincinnati Sycamore (9-1)
Alone in first place in the toughest league top to bottom in Ohio in my opinion, Sycamore is worthy of finding a spot in our top 10. They play at Lakota East tonight and then play at Kettering Fairmont to wrap up Flyin’ To The Hoop. If they can win both of those games, they could move up by next update.
10. Strongsville (10-1)
I remember at the start of the season Strongsville lost by two to Mentor in a back-and-forth game. Since then, they’ve won every game with wins over Euclid, Warrensville Heights, Brunswick and Medina.
