Most of the prospects in this series had previously appeared in rankings in other states, before ultimately transferring into New England and appearing in our most recent rankings update.
The highest ranked New Faces, New Places prospect in the class of 2024 is Nojus Indrusaitis Nojus Indrusaitis 6'5" | SG Brewster Academy | 2024 State #79 Nation New E , who checks in at #4 in the updated rankings.
We’ve already covered his game in our Top 10 reveal, so below, we’ll highlight five more high ranking prospects that are new to the region this year:
Kirouac, a Georgia Tech commit, is one of the regions longest prospects. While he’ll need to add strength and weight to reach his ceiling in the ACC, he already profiles as a mobile big man who isn’t afraid of contact. He does a great job of utilizing his length on both ends of the court, particularly in the post as a rim protector on defense. He’s a threat in transition as a rim runner and looks to have improved his face up game this winter.
Crawford, who will head to Stanford in the fall, didn’t take long to assert himself as one of New England’s top guards upon arriving at Brewster Academy. He has good size at the lead guard spot and has proven to be a tough shot maker this winter. But, he shines with the ball in his hands as a floor general that is able to set up his teammates for easy scoring opportunities. He has a quick first step and does a great job changing speed and direction to get to his spots off the bounce.
If Kirouac is the regions longest new prospect, then Jacobsen is the biggest. The 7’3″ center is up next in a line of massive post products who have headed to Purdue over the years. A serious threat at the rim as a roller out of screen and roll situations, Jacobsen has proven to be a big-time lob threat in half-court settings. He’s more agile than he might get credit for, which allows him to be a solid rim protector both on the ball and in help settings.
Highlights
DeCady, who will head to Hofstra next year, was one of the breakout players of the spring and summer. He’s a physical post presence with a college ready body that does a great job of finishing around the rim. He plays with a high motor and cleans up the glass on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he’s a switchable defender who should be able to guard multiple positions, both on the perimeter and in the post, at the next level.
