The 5-foot-8 guard has an extremely strong foundation in terms of skill and feel. He handles the ball naturally, he can finish exquisitely with both hands at the cup, and he has big-time passing vision for his age. His skill level is well beyond his years, now it'll just be up to his physical profile to catch up, something that I think should start to happen for him shortly. Mason could have an excellent fall AAU season and beginning to his HS season, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him make our rankings soon.

I didn't know who Mendoza was before this summer, but he really impressed me during the Summer Draft League and should be a guy who continues to make his name known throughout the region. The rising sophomore at Braintree has good size at 6-foot, but he pairs that with a well-rounded skillset on the offensive end—he can make shots from three and the mid-range, but he really excels as a driver and finisher with both hands. Mendoza has the athleticism and length to be a meaningful player in the MIAA season, and that could vault him onto our future rankings.

I've long been a fan of Peltrop's game. The 6-foot-3 guard played in a helter-skelter system at Brockton High School, but I think his game will translate quite well to the NEPSAC level. He has excellent athleticism—he's a great jumper, he glides up and down the floor, and he's quite coordinated—but he also has the motor to go with it. He can excel as an offensive rebounder and play finisher, but he also guards multiple positions defensively and provides unique rim protection for his size. I could see Peltrop surprising Dexter-Southfield with how ready he is to play at that level right now because of all the little things he's willing to do, and that could place him in our next rankings if things go his way on the playing-time front.

Sebuma returns to Fenwick for a sophomore campaign after a productive freshman season and a good spring with Team Sims. The 6-foot guard has excellent athleticism and a knack for taking contact and then finishing with both hands at the cup. He does a great job getting to two feet and being under-control with pivots and crafty footwork, but he can also use his length and above-rim hops to extend for finishes and dunks. Sebuma could be one of Fenwick's best players this season and a major breakout player in the MIAA, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him crack our next 2029 rankings update.

McCarthy just keeps chugging along. The 6-foot-4 guard/wing should have a much larger role at Middlesex this season and could develop quite a bit as a result. He has an excellent motor for his size and age, which will help him be a menace on the glass and a versatile defender. But he also has a budding skillset which includes an improving outside shot, the ability to drive closeouts and finish in the paint, and solid passing vision when the defense collapses. Most notably, McCarthy is a high-level competitor who makes it clear he'll do anything to win whenever he's on the court. Coach Hollins is going to have a hard time keeping him off the court this season.

Our Prep Hoops 2029 New England rankings are LIVE! 61 players were ranked, but there are still tons of names on our Watch List who could majorly improve their stock over the next few months and end up on our rankings next time around.
