Hanson remains a prospect who’s climbing up the radar of DI programs in the region at Chambers High as the season moves along. He’s burden in the painted area for opponents to deal with, posting 16.1 PPG, 9.1 RPG, 4.1 APG, 1.1 BPG and 1.0 SPG on 53 percent shooting from the floor so far in 2023-24. He’s an underrated playmaker out of the painted area as evidenced by his last outing against Cannon School. He dished out nine assists to go along with 25 points, four rebounds and two steals. He’s recently earned offers from USC Upstate and Queens University. Look for a few more programs to get in the mix.
Ferere is an athletic wing presence with Southern Guilford High who’s shown he can operate in a variety of ways as he’s flown under the radar recruiting wise. He’s a name for DI and DII programs to get eyes on as he’s putting up 19.3 PPG, 6.3 RPG and 4.3 APG for the 14-1 Storm. Jucqarie Love Jucqarie Love 6’5″ | PF Southern Guilford | 2024 State NC , Jyi Dawkins Jyi Dawkins 6’3″ | SG Southern Guilford | 2026 State NC and Ferere are a big reason for their success this season. He’s one of a few names for programs to get to know given his penchant for attacking the mid-range and painted area with his size/frame at 6-foot-5.
Highlights
Patton is another unsigned prospect in the Chambers High rotation to keep eyes on at the wing-forward position. He’s averaging 13.7 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 2.3 APG and 1.3 SPG on 54 percent shooting from the field. He put up 13 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and three assists in a tough loss to Cannon School in their final non-conference game on the schedule. He’s a strong-framed slashing presence who’s shown he can operate in traffic and make things happen as a finisher and rebounder with the Cougars as they’re 4-1 in the Queen City Conference currently. He’s a prospect for DII and DIII programs in the region to get eyes on.
Goods has been a solid addition to the Grimsley High rotation as they’re 11-3 heading into the bulk of Metro Conference action. They’re 5-0 in conference play already and have won six in a row with Goods producing 21.5 PPG, 13.7 RPG, 2.6 BPG, 1.9 APG and 1.2 SPG on 60 percent shooting from the floor. He had 15 points and 15 rebounds in their victory over Page High to lift Grimsley to victory. He’s managed to show flashes of his ability to stretch the floor on the perimeter (3-of-10 3-PT) but for now, he remains a double-double machine in the painted area. He’s racked up 11 double-doubles already and remains an efficient presence around the rim for DI and DII programs to take note of over with the Whirlies the next few months.
Highlights
Love is more of an imposing presence in the painted area for Southern Guilford High but another underrated name in the 2024 class to get to know given his abilities as a rebounder and shot-blocking presence. He’s producing 17.2 PPG, 8.3 RPG and 1.5 BPG for the Storm’s frontcourt as an unsigned senior forward. He’s got nice length at 6-foot-5 he utilizes well to alter shots and make his presence felt as an attacker and rebounder in the painted area. They’re 5-0 in the Mid-State Conference as they look to repeat as regular-season champions and make a deep run in this year’s state playoffs. He’s a name for DII and DIII programs to get eyes on over the next few months.
Highlights
Crite has shown off his versatility for Brevard High this season as his production has demonstrated. He’s shown he knows how to utilize his size in posting 24.5 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 2.5 SPG, 1.9 APG and 1.1 BPG through 14 games. He’s shown he can operate inside the perimeter with his size in a variety of ways. As he’s climbs up the PH radar, DII and DIII programs would be wise to get eyes on the wing-forward.
