<p>Week 8 of the Indiana high school basketball is officially underway and we had got a big slate of high school hoops going on last night in Indiana. For this story, we are going to recap the quarterfinals of the Marion County Tournament and recap what went on last night. Let us dive on in and take a look at some highlights of last night's quarterfinals and see what the semifinals have shaped up to be for Friday at Southport. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">North Central (Indianapolis) at Park Tudor</h2>

<p>Prep Hoops Indiana was in the building for this matchup of the Panthers and got a firsthand look at this game. For 99% of the game, this was just a back-and-forth contest with no team really having a big edge throughout. In the end however, Class 4A North Central was able to do just enough to get he close 61-58 win over Class 2A Park Tudor. For North Central, they were led by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1547429' first='Jaxson' last='Bell'] with 18 points followed by smooth junior shooter [player_tooltip player_id='1297108' first='Rogelio' last='Rivera'] with 15 pts. On the Park Tudor side, junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297034' first='Hudson' last='Horvath'] had a game-high 20 pts with fellow junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297074' first='Kelin' last='Mark'] adding 19 pts. With the win, North Central improved to 8-3 on the season and will play undefeated Lawrence North in the semifinals on Friday at Southport. </p>

<p>Speaking of Lawrence North, the Wildcats took care of business last night with a 68-56 win over a young Pike team to remain unbeaten on the year at 12-0. In the game, we saw four Lawrence North players score in double-figures with junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='1296979' first='Azavier' last='Robinson'] leading with 27 points. Sophomore forwards [player_tooltip player_id='1729136' first='Brennan' last='Miller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2252564' first='Kai' last='McGrew'] ended up with 13 points each with junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1381525' first='Davion' last='Hampton'] adding 11 points. On the Pike side, junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297011' first='Damon' last='Howard'] led the team with 20 points will adding 5 assists. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1547566' first='Coryell' last='Spates'] added 13 points while freshman center [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] contributed 11 points as well. Like mentioned above, Lawrence North will face North Central in the semifinals on Friday at Southport. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ben Davis at Franklin Central </h2>

<p>There was not a bigger upset in the state last night. In a surprising twist, Franklin Central was able to defeat Ben Davis 52-49 to advance to the semifinals at Southport on Friday. The leading scorer for the Flashers of Franklin Central was 2026 standout forward [player_tooltip player_id='1552625' first='E.J.' last='Hazelett'] with 23 points in the victory over the Giants. Hazelett put on a show last night by all accounts and his performance was able to get the flashes past the tough backcourt of Northwestern signee [player_tooltip player_id='1158204' first='K.J.' last='Windham'] and junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1373105' first='Mark' last='Zackery']. With the win, the Flashers improve to 7-6 on the year and are currently riding a 4-game winning streak. Ben Davis falls to 9-3 on the year. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Warren Central at Indianapolis Roncalli</h2>

<p>In the final game of the quarterfinals of the Marion County Tournament saw just an absolute dominant performance by Warren Central. The Warriors were able to go on the road and defeat Indianapolis Roncalli 61-35 and improve to 8-5 on the year. Warren Central was led in scoring by junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1540391' first='Keshaun' last='Harlan'] with 12 points while fellow junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1297060' first='Jevon' last='Guess'] added 10 points. On the Roncalli side, 2025 forward Noah Schmaltz led the Royals with 11 points. With the win, Warren Central advanced to the semifinals on Friday at Southport and will face Franklin Central with a chance to advance to the championship of the Marion County Tournament on Saturday. </p>
