One of the best in-season tournaments of the year will gets kicked off on Tuesday evening as the annual Indianapolis City Tournament starts. There will be 14 teams competing in this event with six first round games on Tuesday (1/16) night followed by the quarterfinals on Thursday night (1/18), semifinals on Saturday (1/20) night, and the championship game next Monday (1/22) night. Today, we are going to take a look at the entire bracket and give our predations game-by-game and predict who will win this year's Indianapolis City Tournament.

First Round

Covenant Christian (5-6) @ Christel House (8-4)

This one was one of the more harder games to call here. I like what Covenant Christian has with senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1275786' first='Devon' last='Rudolph'], but inconsistency has been the problem with the Warriors this year. I also think that junior center [player_tooltip player_id='2277732' first='Lamar' last='Jones'] is the difference maker. Christel House will advance here.

Indianapolis Herron (1-12) @ Heritage Christian (8-3)

The Eagles of Heritage Christian have been a sneaky good team in Class 3A all season with guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1277745' first='Luke' last='Peters'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1539486' first='Jalen' last='Bonds'] having big seasons. Herron has only won one game this year and have lost many times in ugly fashion. Eagles advance.

Indianapolis Scecina (3-10) @ Bishop Chatard (6-4)

While the Trojans have been a little inconsistent in their last 6 games, I think this is a chance for them to rally off a few big wins here in the Indianapolis City Tournament. Sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='1560973' first='Ethan' last='Roseman'] has been playing like a senior this season and guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1539570' first='Cash' last='Moore'] have been excellent around him. Just don't think Scecina has the guys to compete with Chatard here.

Indianapolis Ritter (3-9) @ Indianapolis Tindley (11-3)

In this area, there has not been a better team in Class 1A than the Indianapolis Tindley Tigers, who come into this tournament 11-3. It all starts with 2025 power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1297031' first='Henri' last='Maye'] who may have the most upside in this entire tournament. Ritter will not be an easy out with guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1297087' first='Marshawnn' last='Henderson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1297073' first='Kasien' last='Stevenson'] having the ability to make plays. Maye is just a difference maker that Ritter does not have the firepower to stop.

Providence Cristo Rey (1-11) @ Arsenal Tech (7-5)

The Arsenal Tech Titans are becoming a team that you do not want to face because they seem to be getting better and better. The duo of 2026 guard [player_tooltip player_id='1728675' first='Elexander' last='Harris'] and senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2282439' first='Jayden' last='Ford'] are playing up to their potential. Providence Cristo Rey, with only 1 win on the year, does not have much of chance here.

George Washington (6-6) @ Purdue Poly Englewood (9-1)

This was another game that I had a little trouble predicting who the winner here is because it could go either way. The Techies of Purdue Poly have won a lot games this year so they have a system that works, but I fear they don't have anything that can counter 6'9 center [player_tooltip player_id='1277590' first='Clem' last='Butler']. I like George Washington here in the slight upset.

Quarterfinals

Christel House @ Cathedral (10-1)

Christel House will get a good win to advance to quarterfinals but will run into a buzzsaw in the form of Cathedral, who is getting a bye here. The Irish are coming off a big upset loss to Guerin Catholic so will be looking to make a statement as soon as they can. Irish advance to the semifinals.

Bishop Chatard @ Heritage Christian

This could be the match of the quarterfinals because they two teams are very even to some extent. I like the toughness of both teams but I am going to give the slight edge to Bishop Chatard here just simply because I like their playmakers a little bit better. This one could go either way.

Indianapolis Tindley @ Crispus Attucks (10-3)

There will be a lot of talent and upside in this game. Attucks is another team that received a bye here and are the defending Indianapolis City Tournament champs. While Tindley has been an impressive team in 1A, they do not have the depth to compete here with the Tigers, who are starting to hit their stride. Attucks will win, but the [player_tooltip player_id='1297019' first='Dezmon' last='Briscoe'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1297031' first='Henri' last='Maye'] matchup will be fun.

Indianapolis Washington @ Arsenal Tech

George Washington gets here but think they will struggle with just the athletic ability and speed in which Tech can play with. The Titans advance to the semifinals, which they are hosting.

Semifinals

Cathedral vs Bishop Chatard

This will be a rematch of their earlier game which Cathedral was able to win 66-47 and I see the same fate happening here. The Trojans of Bishop Chatard have some good young pieces to work with and I do think their time will come, but they don't have the guy to compete with loaded Cathedral squad led by 2025 standout wing [player_tooltip player_id='1525663' first='Brady' last='Koehler']. Cathedral goes to the championship.

Crispus Attucks vs Arsenal Tech

I could honestly see this game being a little closer than many think for about 3 quarters. Tech has the home court advantage here and while they do have some good pieces, the Tigers of Crispus Attucks are simply more seasoned and it will be hard to slow down their momentum at this moment. Attucks wins a closer one than many think.

Finals

Cathedral vs Crispus Attucks

This is the matchup that everyone wants to see and will get for the Indianapolis City Tournament. This will be a rematch of last year's championship game in this same tournament which saw Attucks win 61-51. Attucks brings back many players who experienced winning this championship so have the edge when it comes to experience. Cathedral, however, has been one of the more impressive groups here this season. This one will come down to the wire, but I like Attucks to repeat as Indianapolis City Tournament champs.
