These are based on purely the 40+ games I evaluated from the tournaments at Jack Tosh, Hinsdale Central, Pontiac, Pekin, and Collinsville. Here is Holiday Tournaments: Scotty B’s Top Underclassmen Performers!
Tishawn Clemmons (Decatur Eisenhower – 2026)
This was my first look at Clemmons. The approximately 5’9” point guard is a very good defender that racked up quite a few steals during the Collinsville Holiday Tournament. Played with speed in the open floor and has a very nice 15-18 foot pull up game. The acrobatics shined on several layups. In their first round loss he had 14 points against Collinsville.

Goldsmith stands at about 6’4” with long arms and broad shoulders. Looks like he will continue to grow. Loved the high-motor that he played with throughout the game. He scored in the paint as an undersized four with seals, hook shots, and put backs. Ran the floor hard and high-pointed rebounds in traffic. He had 19 points against O’Fallon.
Alex Johnson (Belleville Althoff – 2026)
Johnson jumped off the floor to us in their first round contest. Long and lanky 6’2” wing that will continue to grow. Got to the rim with consistency showing good handles and displayed a solid jumper from two and three. Nose for the ball and made plays in the open floor. Dropped 19 points against Mundelein and will be making a nice debut in our next rankings update!
Jayden Wright Jayden Wright 5'11" | PG Benet | 2026 State IL (Benet – 2026)
Wright put on an absolute show in the first half of their quarterfinal contest against OPRF. The point guard was lights out from the perimeter knocking in four triples along with mid-range jumpers and floaters for 19 points. High level shot maker that can play on the ball!

Stack was also excellent in that same game against OPRF. The center has legit height and the fluidity is starting to come around. Finished over and over out of the dunker spot. Also is more than capable of hitting spot up threes as he drained one from the corner along with a deep 2 on the baseline en route to 17 points. Was effective in the semis as well recording 11 points.

Houlihan really played well against Joliet West. The 6’4” small forward bombed in 3-6 from beyond the arc in the win. Plus shooter with positional size and a sweet lefty shot. One to continue to monitor for sure!

Sularski showed the fans at Pontiac why he is considered the consensus top sophomore in the state with a 17 point outing in the semis against Bloom. The 6’6” small forward has tremendous size and versatility. He can knock down threes off the catch, mid-range pull ups, and really sees the floor as a passer. Tough kid that isn’t afraid to mix it up and board as well.

Pryor had one of the best performances we have seen out of him against Benet in the semis. The angular combo guard is a big time perimeter defender that will flash some offense occasionally. In this one it was a breakout 4-6 from three point that opened eyes as the lefty was bombing them in one after another for 15 points.

What more can be said about Thompson. He is one of the truly elite freshmen in the state. Crafty left-handed shooting guard that has such creative handles with the ball in his hands. So smooth getting to the cup it looks effortless. Bombed in a pair of threes in a flurry to start the 4th quarter in the first round. Was active on the defensive end and got out in transition as he had 22 points against Nazareth in the opener. Then when we saw him in the championship he took it to another level. The elite freshman guard dropped 31 points scoring effectively from all three levels. Smooth takes, spin moves, mid-range shots, and contested threes. Kid is a top 30 prospect nationally!
