Aj Bessler of Nevis (6’5 soph). Bessler backed up Alex Lester Alex Lester 6'7" | C Nevis | 2025 State MN so the minutes were not huge but there is potential to him. He grabbed five rebounds, runs the floor well, moves his feet well. Missed all his attempts but there is potential to his game.
Izayah Cook Izayah Cook 6'4" Sauk Rapids - Rice | 2027 MN of Sauk Rapids (6’5 fr). Cook is physically what many college players look like. He’s strong and has great body control. Throw in the explosive play and you have one of the elite freshmen in the state of Minnesota. Cook missed only two attempts for his 28 points making 10 of 12 looks that included four threes, two fallaways out of a post up, and physical scores at the cup. He grabbed eight rebounds and gave his team a solid second scoring option much of the game and a main scoring option at times in the meat of the game.
Preston Hanson Preston Hanson 6'5" | PF Fertile-Beltrami | 2026 State MN of Fertile-Beltrami (6’5 soph). Preston is a player that I really like for the future. He’s 6’5 and can move. He had three boards and three assists in the win over Nevis but did not shoot well. Made a three and another basket and has a really bright future.
Kale Misegades Kale Misegades 6'2" | CG Henning | 2026 State MN of Henning (6’2 soph). As the game wore on, Misegades wore on his opponents. There was a back to back bucket stretch followed by a three that got him warmed up and then back to back threes that gave Henning the momentum. One of those threes was a huge momentum boost and then Kale put them game away with six late foul shots including the game winners with four seconds to go in overtime. Kale scored his 27 making three tripes, all eight foul shots, and 8 of 17 field goal attempts.
Daniel Zoa Daniel Zoa 6'2" | SF Legacy Christian Academy | 2027 MN of (6’3 8th). I initially thought Zoa looked bigger than 6’3, maybe 6’4. His arms are very long and he might have the biggest hands I have ever seen for an 8th grader. Bottom line, Daniel is already a good player and it looks like he has a huge chance of growing Zoa knocked out a three, hit all five foul shots and it looks like he is certainly a name to put in the memory as a top 2028 prospect.
Others
Ryan Desperd of Henning (5’11 soph). Grabbed a board
Jett Fenney of Moorhead (6’0 fr). Made a shot and grabbed a board off the bench.
David Mack of Moorhead (5’10 fr). Mack had to be on the floor in one of the overtimes after some foul issues and he did solid.
Lorezo Reyes of Cass Lake-Bena (5’11 soph). Scored seven points with three boards.
Bryer Strem of Fertile-Beltrami (5’9 soph). Strem hit a huge late three.
