Atlantic Collegiate defeats Augusta Christian:
The Armada finished the weekend at (2-0) and move to (19-2) on the year. Atlantic Collegiate in its first year as a school will be part of the SCHSL next fall. The Armada defeated Augusta Christian (GA) 74-63 here today. Junior Jamie Brooks Jamie Brooks 6'6" | C Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2025 State SC really came to play today with 29 points. Senior guard Santana Mayes Santana Mayes 6'0" | PG Atlantic Collegiate | 2024 State SC added 12 points. Senior guard Sam Medalie Sam Medalie 6'3" | PG Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2024 State SC and Junior Jaylen Bellamy Jaylen Bellamy 6'2" | SG Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2025 State SC both added 9 points in the win.
The Lions (16-6) and winners of the past 2 SCISA Class 4A State Championships were led by senior guard Braylen Smith Braylen Smith 5'11" Augusta Christian | 2024 GA with 24 points. Smith did all of his damage attacking the cup and dropping some floaters and short pull-up jumpers along the way. University of Kentucky baseball signee Khaleel Pratt Khaleel Pratt 6'5" | SF Augusta Christian | 2024 State GA added 12 points before fouling out with 1:56 left in the game. Junior Aamere Tolbert Aamere Tolbert 6'2" | SF Augusta Christian | 2025 State GA a bouncy left-handed wing chipped in with 9 points while post player Uzziah Morton added 8 points from the paint.
NCGBB Fights off a Storm:
The Eagles defeated San Jose Prep out of Jacksonville, FL 76-61. Senior left-handed guard CJ Alston CJ Alston 6'1" | PG NC GBBA | 2024 State NC led the way with 19 points. Jalik Nicholls is back at NCGBB after starting the season at Moravian Prep. Nicholls a left-handed forward chipped in with 18 points. Senior Maleke Green who attended South Garner HS a season ago scored 13 points on a wide variety of pull-up jumpers and floaters here today. Senior Caden Bell Caden Bell 6'2" | CG NC GBBA | 2024 State NC joined in with 10 points to round out the 4 double digit scorers for Head Coach James Zimmerman.
San Jose Prep out of the Sunshine State were led by Senior guard Suliman Koko Suliman Koko 6'2" | CG San Jose Prep | 2024 FL . Koko wearing a nose guard here today finished with 26 points while playing extremely aggressive all day long. Koko is averaging 15.3 ppg this season for the Storm.
Quality Education Academy Drops a Close One:
The Pharoahs of Quality Education Academy lost a close one to S3 Academy (VA) here today 54-50. Senior left-handed guard Jermaurhiyun Anderson Jermaurhiyun Anderson 6'2" | PG Quality Education | 2024 State NC led the way with 14 points. Senior forward Da’Mori Lytch added 13 points while Junior Elijah Mobley chipped in with 10 points.
The Panthers received strong play from guard Devin Minor Devin Minor 5'9" | PG National Christian | 2024 VA with 16 points. Minor recently arrived just 3 weeks ago here at S3 Academy after attending Rock Creek Christian (MD). Minor a guard is a Clinton, MD native. Devin hit the go ahead 3-point basket with 36.5 seconds to give the Panthers the lead at 51-50.
Sophomore post player Deng Deng added 14 points in the win.
Plenty of Talent at Potter’s House Christian (FL):
The Potter’s House Christian Lions HS team defeated CBA Academy (NC) here today 64-47. The Lions got strong play from Fredy Salam-Sylla Fredy Salam-Sylla 6'6" | SF Potter's House Christian | 2024 State FL with 16 points and yes 5 charges according to my stats. Junior post player Tijan Barrie Tijan Barrie 6'8" | PF Pottershouse | 2025 State FL controlled the middle with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sharp-shooting guard Alem Fejzic added 11 points in the win.
The Potter’s House Christian Postgraduate team defeated Bull City Prep here on Day 1. Francis Wal led the Lions with 23 points. Wal was all over the glass here today on both ends of the court for the Lions. Yannis Nebout added 14 points in the win. Nicholas Davidson surveyed the court all day long with crisp passes while finishing with 12 points and 7 assists. Davidson hails from Nelson, New Zealand.
