Continue ReadingKinney climbs to the top spot in this update and is having a big time Sophomore season in addition to a bunch of new offers in the last 6 months or so. Averaging 21 points and 5 rebounds per game with shooting splits of 52/46/85, Tay has shined brightest in the biggest games this season. He’s had big showings in a win over Huntington Prep as well as a big week at the King of the Bluegrass.
Weis maintains at the number 2 spot and some would argue that he should be first. Thanks to his height and athleticism, Gabe has elite long term potential but he’s still not the best player on his high school team. Senior Beau Baker Beau Baker 6’7″ | PF Washington County | 2024 State KY leads Washington County in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage. Gabe’s long term potential is sky high but right now, Weis just needs to keep getting better and raising his overall skill level.

The idea that Johnson can be a top 100 player nationally and third in the class is a testament to how good the top of this 2026 class is. Jayden is a big shooter at 6’5 and his overall production is hindered by having a lot of talent alongside him on the Trinity roster. Johnson is skilled and can handle the ball but often is restricted to playing more as a catch and shoot wing. He has a ton of college offers already and could absolutely shoot back to the top of these rankings.
I still believe Surratt could be the best prospect in the class when the dust settles. DeMarcus is an explosive athlete with the ability to sit down and guard the ball better than anyone on the list above him. Long term, Surratt needs to have the ball in his hands more and show his playmaking or he’ll be viewed more as a shooting guard or a combo guard who spends more time off the ball than on it.

Davidson climbs into the top 5 in this update after being at 11 in our last update. A stretch 4 at 6’7, Reece is a good shooter and effective post up player who can also put the ball on the floor. Davidson needs to continue adding bulk to his frame to allow himself to be a better finisher. Already holding a couple of D1 offers, Reece could see his stock take off with a big AAU season.
