Continue ReadingThe newly released 2025 rankings have some big changes. Most changes due to adding lots of Huntington Prep and Linsly players and moving the previously ranked down, but we do have five stock risers that have moved up in the rankings. These players have not only gained college coaching interest but have also proved on the court that they are worthy of the attention.
Cruz Isaly Cruz Isaly 6’0″ | PG Williamstown | 2025 State WV began the year ranked at 17 but has worked his way up to 13 thus far. After further evaluation, conversations with college coaches and some outstanding performances, Isaly climbs his way up the ranks and settles in at 13. Isaly is not only on some coaches radar but has recently been on a handful of campus invites that typically indicates offers coming soon.

Parker Schramm Parker Schramm 6’1″ | SG Williamstown | 2025 State WV has done nothing but situate himself as a solid top 20 player in WV. Schramm has lit it up shooting and added the element of driving to the bucket which has given him a big weapon against defenses geared to shut him off from beyond the arc. Schramm has already received offers from D3 Waynesburg (PA) as well as Alma College (MI), but we think his D2 opportunities could be forthcoming.
Gavin Parker Watts Gavin Parker Watts 6’3″ | SG Tolsia | 2025 State WV has went crazy in the first half of the season having a game with 12 threes, averaging nearly 25ppg, entertaining crowds with breakaway dunks which in turn force a jump in his ranking. Watts started at 28 but has jumped quickly to a top twenty spot at 19. Watts has already received an offer before this season started from Kentucky Christian but is getting interest as high as mid major D1. If you haven’t seen him he’s nothing less than entertaining and could easily flip the script and play D2 football if he wished.

Ethan Blackburn Ethan Blackburn 6’3″ | SG Cabell-Midland | 2025 State WV came into this season with lots of positive chatter about his game and has used that to propel himself into a nice start on the junior campaign. Blackburn has posted some great stat lines and been a consistent scorer for Cabell Midland all season with 16ppg. The slick shooting guard jumps from 45 in previous ranking to 41 this time around.
Isaac Meddings Isaac Meddings 6’0″ | CG Wayne | 2025 State WV is a player we want everyone to see. Sharpshooting guard can light it up in a heartbeat and stretch defenses far beyond their comfort zone. He’s shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc, and nearly 20ppg. Playing in WV’s AAA division, Meddings faces a nightly challenge and has become a trusted scorer rising from 37 to 34.
