The 7-1 junior center has explosive athleticism around the rim where he can catch lobs as well as impressive footwork on the offensive end. On the defensive end, Thiam plays with a ton of versatility as well as adding solid rim protection where he can get out on the open floor. Throughout the season, Thiam has grown more confident in an outside game where he has knocked down shots from beyond the arc at a respectable rate. Look for his stock to continue to rise not just for the rest of this season, but as he gears up for his senior year as well.
The 6-8 junior power forward is strong and shifty when it comes to scoring on the low block. His soft touch around the rim has continued to improve with more and more touches as well as gaining confidence in developing a mid-range game on the offensive end. On the defensive end, Osayi has a quick first step where he can battle on the glass as well as run the floor exceptionally well. Look for a huge stock in Osayi’s recruitment as we gear into the spring and summer months, as he’s gained interest from numerous mid-major schools.
The 6-11 junior center makes a living on the interior at both ends of the floor where he has strong hands and active footwork. Guimaraes also adds length where he can challenge shots around the rim as well as cover the perimeter. His ball-handling and decision-making have continued to improve as he is slowly becoming a versatile prospect who can play multiple positions. Intrigued to see where Guimaraes lands as far as recruitment by the end of this upcoming season.
The 7-0 junior center has made a huge impact right away after transferring from Kathleen to Gibbs before the season. He is the ultimate athlete where he covers a lot of ground whether it’s at the front of the rim or out on the perimeter. He has underrated footwork where he can guard multiple positions and play under control without fouling around the rim. Medina currently holds an offer from Georgia Southern but don’t expect that to be his only offer as his recruitment stock will begin to pile up in the spring.
The 6-10 junior center brings a ton of physicality at both ends of the floor where he is a bruiser on the interior, with a smooth touch around the rim. Venegeto also plays with a ton of length where he can finish put-backs or lobs thrown at him. Venegeto has made an impact right away at The Rock after coming over from France last summer and don’t be surprised to see his recruitment rise this spring and summer.
