Silver and the Greer Middle College Blazers opened the 2024 Prep Hoops SC Showcase with a comfortable win over 4A Laurens. Braylen played a large part in that win. He is often the third option on the GMC Offense but he is very reliable in that role. Silver is confident shooter that brings intensity on both ends of the floor and can create off the dribble. He is at his best as a perimeter threat off the catch but his offensive versatility is an option for the Blazers. Braylen had 15 points and 7 assists for GMC on Saturday.
Owen Galeota

Galeota was a pleasant surprise with his play this weekend. He came into the game averaging just over 6 PPG but had an important 12 for the Blue Eagles in their win over fellow 5A opponent Mauldin. He hit two 3s in the first quarter to grab early momentum for Clover. He was effective as a pick-and pop-screener and as a catch-and-shoot wing. In terms of size, Clover doesn’t have a big team so Owen is often guarding 4s and 5s on the defensive end, and he held up well on Saturday. He finished the game with 12 points on 4-6 3-point shooting.
Isaiah Henry Isaiah Henry 6’0″ | CG Greer | 2025 State SC was one of the biggest winners of the entire Prep Hoops SC Showcase on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets’ usual 6th Man was inserted into the starting lineup due to an injury and had a massive performance in his increased role. Henry was good from the start, coming out with 7 quick points in the first quarter. The Top-50 Junior is a reliable scoring option from all 3 levels and is a good defender, which had an impact at the end of the game. Greenville appeared to be holding for the final shot when Isaiah jumped a passing lane and took the ball down the court, finishing through contact, for the buzzer-beating layup. Henry had 15 points including the biggest shot of the night in Greer’s victory.
Anderson is another Junior who stood out for Greer this weekend. He had 20 points for the Yellow Jackets in their tight win over cross-county rival Greenville. Amare had a great overall game but was most dominant in the second quarter, where he had 10 of 20. He is a tremendous athlete with a beautiful jump-shooting stroke. He is capable of efficiently scoring in the mid-range and finishing around defenders at the basket.
At times, Bryson put the team on his back in their intense matchup with Greer on Saturday. He had a dominant 25 points, consistently getting good looks at the basket. His strength and desire to get to the basket stood out. It felt like he got the shot he wanted just about every possession but also didn’t lose sight of his teammates or get out of the offense, adding 3 assists.
Roman was a recent standout at the Poinsettia Classic before the turn of the year and stood out again at the Prep Hoops SC Showcase. He is one of the most improved players in Class 4A and is a double-double machine. One of his key attributes is his athleticism. Roman has quick feet and high vertical which helps him get to balls that most players his size don’t. He is also comfortable guarding multiple positions, which is an important asset to the Red Raider defense. He finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds in Greenville’s 1-possession loss to Greer on Saturday.
Simms has had a very good start to the year for the 3A Top Daniel Lions. The Junior is the team’s leading scorer at 11.7 points per game as they turn their focus to region play. At the Prep Hoops SC Showcase on Saturday, Disbrow had an impressive showing with 17 points on 5-10 3-point field goals. He is the team’s lead guard and is charged with running the offense but as the shots continued to fall for him, he switched from facilitator to spot-up shooter and was effective at both.
Caleb is our lone Junior Standout from Pebblebrook, our only non-South Carolina team in attendance at the Prep Hoops SC Showcase. Despite being from the Peach State, I was familiar with Thomas due to his time with The Skill Factory on the Nike EYBL Circuit before he made the switch to Team Thad. He is an offensive threat as a high-level shooter and playmaker. Caleb is extremely quick but is constantly under control with the ball in his hands. He finished with 8 points and 5 assists in the Falcons loss to Gray Collegiate Academy.
