Simms caught fire in the second half of Daniel’s matchup with JL Mann. It was his defense that sparked that fire, as he came out of the break moving his feet and working hard to keep his matchup in front or force a turnover. His offensive game features an excellent balance of downhill driving and perimeter shooting, making him effective in either spot of the backcourt. All 5 of his 3PM came in the second half and he had a sixth rim out at the buzzer which would’ve given the Lions the win. He finished with 29 Points and 3 Steals.

Simms has had a very good start to the year for the 3A Top Daniel Lions. The Junior is the team’s leading scorer at 11.7 points per game as they turn their focus to region play. At the Prep Hoops SC Showcase on Saturday, Disbrow had an impressive showing with 17 points on 5-10 3-point field goals. He is the team’s lead guard and is charged with running the offense but as the shots continued to fall for him, he switched from facilitator to spot-up shooter and was effective at both.
