Next up on the list is Carrington, who is one of two Daniel Lions that impressed early on Saturday Morning. He had a balanced effort with 14 Points, 4 Rebounds, and 4 Assists in the game. Carrington is a lefty who can spot-up off the ball and create opportunities from the wing or operate from the middle of the floor and run sets. Tristyn has a strong frame which helps him around bodies in the paint but he is also creative when putting the ball on the floor. When driving, he is aware of his teammates and has a good feel for when a defense collapses around him. He also helped out with a couple of steals and a drawn charge.

With Tristyn and the Daniel Lions being in my backyard, I got to check in with them pretty often this season. They had another great season, but Carrington in particular was someone who stepped into a large role in his Junior Year. He often impressed with his qualities on both ends of the floor, setting the tone of a physical defense for the Lions and also supplying a steady force on the offensive end. Tristyn’s averages this season prove that he is a jack-of-all-trades on the court: 10.6 Points Per Game, 3.9 Rebounds Per Game, 3.0 Assists Per Game, and 1.9 Steals Per Game.

Tristyn’s Lions may not have come out on the winning side of Friday Night’s Second Round matchup with Powdersville, but Carrington’s two-way ability was still on full display. He showed a knack for getting to the basket and frequently made plays out of broken possessions on the offensive end. Trisytn also has good instincts and quick feet on the defensive end and had a couple of steals to go with his 15 points.

Carrington really brought his “A” game to the table today in a victory over Palmetto City Hurricanes. Tristyn bullied defenders on the way to the rack. He really liked having the ball in his hands from out top and seemed to be a very good passer from the high post. Carrington has a football frame despite not playing the pigskin. He always found his way around the basketball to make a play today.
