A quick trigger shotmaker off the bounce, the junior guard is effective rising up on pull-ups out beyond the arc following a ball screen. His excellent balance and soft touch has allowed Scherer to be equally dangerous attacking the rim versus tight ball pressure. An efficient ball handler, the guard gets to his spots within a few dribbles, getting to shots or kicking it out. A strong guard with quick instincts, Scherer will be one of the most exciting guards to follow throughout the season.
Possessing a tight handle versus pressure, Kim has quick reactions to leverage space for driving lanes. More than capable scoring through tight contests, the senior guard was highly impactful getting to rim for finger rolls and short floaters. Not to mention he is knockdown beyond the arc, Kim has been nothing short of dependable this season.
A sturdy forward who has been effective rolling to the paint, Wynja has repeatedly proven effective finishing shots around the rim with either hand. Regardless of a roll or drive from the elbow, Wynja has been dependable.
Highlights
The guard maximizes his role, strong handling the ball on drives. Mandes did particularly well attacking immediately off the catch, putting opponents in tough situations, often fouling him. Effective contributing buckets with either hand in the paint, Mandes has been particularly impactful as a complementary scorer.
One of the bouncier forwards in this class, Dixon has been beneficial on the glass and contesting opposing forwards.
Regis Jesuit
The guard is about as consistent of a perimeter scorer as anybody in the class, lights out beyond the arc and off the bounce. Already a notorious shooter off the catch, the guard brings immense gravity out behind the arc, opening up the floor on drives or mid-range attempts. With an aggressive defense helping early, Taylor was active making bounce passes to cutters once the help arrived.
Mason Marshall
Mason Marshall
The guard was highly active at the point of attack, tasked with defending opposing lead ball handlers. Fairly effective holding his own one on one, Marshall made things a bit more difficult for opposing playmakers.
A consistent floor spacer and slasher, Roumph has been dependable within his role for this competitive group. Dynamic beyond the arc, he can rise up for threes off the catch or get to a dribble move to create space. Prevalent attacking the lane for straight line drives, the guard has done well drawing contact at the basket.
The big forward can be leveraged in the post to receive over the top passes or back down various mismatches, effective drawing contact in the paint. He brings a unique style of play at his size, active spacing the floor while popping out following a ball screen or dribble handoff.
Highlights
Highly active on the glass in this matchup, Dickinson was particularly active off-ball. Consistently diving into the lane for second chance opportunities or initiating a defensive box out, Dickinson did his best to battle with opposing forwards. He stayed ready to let shots fly, knocking down a couple threes and a pull-up middie.
