#1 Sioux Falls Christian (3-0)
It is hard to argue with the Chargers being #1. They took care of business vs. O’Grman with a 19-point win and held the Knights to a slim 39 points. Griffen Goodbary Griffen Goodbary 6'10" | PF Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD is the BIG man with great length and exceeding potential. Cole Snyder Cole Snyder 6'0" | CG Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD is the lead guard. Britton Mulder Britton Mulder 6'2" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD is not healthy yet and he might be the most exciting player in the program. Keep eyes on Carson Nickles Carson Nickles 6'1" | CG Sioux Falls Christian | 2026 State SD and Cooper Goodbary Cooper Goodbary 6'3" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2026 State SD as young playmakers.
#2 Hamlin (2-0)
Coach Neuendorf has his squad firing on all cylinders early in the season. Hamlin is healthy and they are looking great. Tonight they host Milbank. Easton Neuendorf is the best passing PG in South Dakota and Tyson Stevenson Tyson Stevenson 6'2" | SG Hamlin | 2024 State SD is a playmaker on the wing. The Chargers have plenty of other scoring weapons and their size/athleticism will make you weep.
#3 Sioux Valley (3-0)
Coach Vincent has the Cossacks running hot but that is no surprise! Sioux Valley has a tradition of winning and that will continue this season. Alec Squires Alec Squires 6'10" | C Sioux Valley | 2024 State #280 Nation SD , Maxwell Engebretson Maxwell Engebretson 6'2" Sioux Valley | 2024 SD , and Maverick Nelson Maverick Nelson 6'3" | SG Sioux Valley | 2025 State SD make about as scary a trio as you can imagine. The Cossacks have a great group of role players as well. In any close game, you have to give the nod to the Cossacks!
#4 Dakota Valley (4-0)
It is hard to bet against the Panthers! DV just wins and wins! Coach Kleis has his team on a 57-game win streak and they show no signs of slowing down. Jaxson Wingert Jaxson Wingert 6'7" | PF Dakota Valley | 2024 State SD is dominating and putting up splashy numbers. Luke Bruns looked great this offseason and he has proven to be phenomenal early in the year for DV. Tomorrow night, the Panthers play at Lakota Tech, which will be a good test, and it will be a nice way to head into the Christmas Break with another win.
#5 Pine Ridge (4-0)
The Thorpes are rolling and they look excellent. Pine Ridge is fresh off a Championship at the Lakota Nation Invitational in Rapid City. Taking home that crown is a great feather to put in the cap and an excellent accomplishment. The Thorpes beat Rapid City Christian by a score of 80-66, albeit Benson Kieffer Benson Kieffer 5'10" | PG Rapid City Christian | 2025 State SD went out with an injury. Marvin Richard Marvin Richard 6'0" | CG Pine Ridge | 2026 State SD was named the MVP of the LNI and the rest of the Thorpe cast is no joke. Coming up, Pine Ridge plays Groton at the Corn Palace, that will be a good test. Keep eyes on the Thorpes, they are seriously talented!
