Expert Analysis

Dakota Valley nearly reached the title game with a narrow two-point loss to the then undefeated Sioux Falls Christian. Wingert had a dominant Senior season scoring the ball and being a threat from the interior and with his ability to step out and shoot the ball. He shot the three well in the tournament, making 5 of of 11. Did his normal stuff of scoring in the paint and being an offensive and defensive rebounding presence.
Game 1 – 24 points (11-21 FG) – 13 rebounds – 29 minutes
Game 2 – 20 points (8-16 FG) (3-6 3FG) – 8 rebounds (6 offensive) – 2 assists – 1 block – 1 steal – 24 minutes
Game 3 – 17 points (7-16 FG) (2-5 3FG) – 5 rebounds – 2 assists – 1 steal – 25 minutes

Wingert has been consistently dominant all season, scoring around 27-28 ppg. Dakota Valley takes on #4 seed Tea Area and expect Wingert to score around 30 points and impact the boards as well.

Wingert has had better offensive games, in terms of finishing plays at the hoop and making shots from the perimeter. Still finished with 23 points, and he’s a load in the paint. I did see D2 coaches in attendance. Probably there for the 6’7 Wingert. Currently, holds only NAIA offers, by my knowledge.
