One high level basketball on a Thursday evening? You can't ask for much else. But last night yielded two great games with numerous players who stood out. Here's who stood out and why:

Spring-Ford over Phoenixville, 72-65

[player_tooltip player_id='1281774' first='EJ' last='Campbell'] | 6'1 G 2024 Spring-Ford

Other than his pull-up three for his first basket, Campbell made a living in the paint. With speed and physicality, he darted past defenders to the cup for a total of 20 points plus 4 assists. However, his defense was SF's catalyst. The two-way guard came away with 4 steals. Those takeaways and his 5 rebounds allowed the Rams to get into transition, where Campbell orchestrated easy offense for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1460771' first='Jacob' last='Nguyen'] | 6'3 G 2025 Spring-Ford

The 3-point marksman did his thing early. Nguyen cashed in a spot-up three, when the Phoenix tried to run him off the line, he hit a step-back three. From there, his ability inside the arc took over. He found driving lanes and used hop-steps to get to the cup, which also sent him to the line where he made 6-of-7 freebies. Nguyen totaled 20 points and 2 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1850293' first='Max' last='Lebisky'] | 6'5 F/C 2024 Phoenixville

Lebisky was a matchup problem for the Rams. At first, he played a high/low game with McClintock, taking turns dumping the ball down to one another in the post. But he took things into his own hands in the second half. On multiple occasions, Lebisky took the ball off the glass or caught an outlet pass and took it coast-to-coast for layups and/or fouls. His mobility and skill putting the ball on the floor in the halfcourt yielded the same results. He went 10-for-14 from the line, leading all scorers with 26 points, 8 boards, and 5 assists.

Camden over Camden Catholic, 54-47

Billy Richmond | 6'7 W 2024 Camden

Fresh off announcing his commitment to the University of Kentucky, Richmond led The High to victory with 24 points and 10 rebounds. He proved to be on a different level athletically compared to everyone else, throwing down three dunks in the first half. Opting for more subtle displays of athleticism in the second, Richmond showed contact-balance on layups and got a putback in mid-air. Later, in the fourth quarter, he got 2 steals and hit seven straight free throws to put the game away.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411662' first='Luke' last='Kennevan'] | 6'3 G 2025 Camden Catholic

Kennevan gave the Irish everything he had in this one. After putting 7 points in the first quarter, including a pull-up three, the Panthers made life a lot harder for him as a scorer and driver. So the junior combo guard moved a ton off-ball. He found opportunities to make plays for others by attacking off of pitches and handoffs. It also allowed him to get switched onto defenders other than Richmond. When he was able to get the ball in the fourth, he gave the Irish another 7 points, finishing with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
