Ball is no stranger to putting up big numbers, but he has taken in to a new level to begin his junior season at Maconaquah High School. The versatile 6’5″ wing came out of the gate scoring 35 points in their season-opening win over Taylor and then backed it up with a 24-point performance in another blowout victory. Most impressively, he has shown improvement from beyond the arc shooting 4-9 from three-point range. He will be one of the top scorers in the state of Indiana this season.
It isn’t easy to replace Indiana Mr. Basketball who averaged over 30 points per game. However, the Kingsmen have done so by committee and are off to a 4-0 start to the season with this senior guard leading the way. Bonner is averaging 13.8 points per game while providing some rebounding help from the perimeter and locking up on the defensive end of the floor as well. He is one of the better under-the-radar guards in the northern Indiana area and will continue to garner more attention as the season goes along.
This 6’4″ forward from Harrison (West Lafayette) has helped lead his team to a 3-0 start to the season winning the IU Health Hoops Classic. King is averaging 16.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and was named Most Valuable Player of the season tip-off tournament. The Class of 2025 prospect should have a breakout junior season and start to garner more attention around the state. He is certainly off to a great start.
51 points in the first game of the season has a way of capturing the attention of the state. That is what this Borden High School guard did in a 77-53 win over Eastern (Pekin). The Braves are now 3-1 and among the Top 10 teams in Class 1A. Nash is an excellent shooter that also has surpassed the 1,000 point milestone this season. He will be one of the top scorers in southern Indiana throughout this season and should be on the radar of small college coaches across the state.
Despite playing next to one of the best prospects in all of high school basketball, Rogers has been Kokomo’s leading scorer through four games this season. The long, athletic, 6’5″ forward is averaging 18.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game while shooting an extremely high percentage from the field. His ability to attack the rim off of the dribble and use his size to finish around the basket has led to some excellent early-season performances. Rogers deserves a lot of his own attention for the Wildkats.
Sims started the season with back-to-back 17 and 16 point performances and has helped Bloomington South to a 2-1 start. The talented wing has a versatile offensive game which includes the skill level to score from the perimeter and the physicality to consisnelty finish around the basket. He will be one to follow in southern Indiana this season as he has stepped into a go-to scoring role for the Panthers.
