It is hard to leave one of the state’s top scorers off of the first team, but that is how good Class 3A was this season. Ball, a Bethel recruit, averaged 28.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game at Maconaquah.

While I didn’t specifically watch Ball on Sunday evening, his scoring prowess certainly made waves throughout the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club. The 6’5″ forward who is committed to Bethel University did what he does best throughout his two games at the Metro Indy Ball League. Ball finished with 34 points in his first contest and backed it up with 35 points to finish the evening. One of the top scorers in the state of Indiana, it was no real surprise to see Ball put up such big numbers.

It should come as no surprise that this Maconaquah High School wing stood out in the Indiana Basketball All-Star Classic. After all, he was one of the state’s leading scorers averaging 30.3 points per game as a junior. Ball shot it well on Friday morning which was good to see knocking in a three-point shot along with a couple mid-range pull-ups on his way to scoring 13 points. As he continues to become a more consistent shooting threat, along with what he can do around the basket with his size and athleticism, his game will really take off to the next level.
