<p>Potentially the top scoring duo in the state - junior [player_tooltip player_id='1574212' first='Anthony' last='Smith'] and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] of Hopkins - combined to score 60 points leading Hopkins over Orono 93-75. Smith led with 32 while had 28 and the duo did a good job of turning Orono over numerous times. </p>

<p>Five-foot-9 junior guard Charles Hanson scored five points a game last season for Morris Area. Last night he hit four threes and opened his season with 25 points leading the Tigers to a one score win (68-66) over New London-Spicer. Wildcat senior [player_tooltip player_id='2372690' first='Grant' last='Paffrath'] had 31 points in the loss. </p>

<p>Cherry sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1601068' first='Noah' last='Asuma'] scored 20 points with eight rebounds in the 109-50 win over Deer River which was not only an eye opening win over a team that we expected to be very good, but Noah went over 1,000 points for his career. </p>

<p>In the game of the night junior [player_tooltip player_id='1411178' first='Brayson' last='Boike'] led his Dawson-Boyd squad past RTR with 32 points and 16 rebounds! A monster showing that led his team to a 75-62 win. </p>
