Keyes is going to play a huge role in the success of a very young Saline team this season. He’s gotten much stronger physically from last year and his offensive footwork looks improved as well. He was very active on the glass. I’d be shocked if he didn’t hit double figures in total rebounds. Keyes’ activity under and around the glass leads to a lot of high percentage looks at the rim.
Eziuka caught my eye in Canton’s game against Saline. Didn’t need or want his numbers to evaluate his game. Eziuka is a silky smooth athlete with a ton of talent and upside. He has a solid mid range game with his ability to rise up, stay focused, and shoot over the top of defenders. Eziuka can be an underrated defender as well. He can certainly guard athletically.
Highlights
James is just a basketball player. He showed the ability to get to the rim with a nice little stutter step move on the left wing and the ability to finish with a scoop and score. James also showed that he can shoot with 3 point range off a catch and shoot. We saw him distribute the ball as well when he hit a teammate cutting to the rim with a pretty bounce pass as well.
Brady Beers
Brady Beers
Beers stood out in his team’s game against Grosse Pointe South. I really liked him as a passing forward. Multiple times, Beers hit a teammate in scoring positions or threw the pass that put a teammate in a scoring position. He was able to both hit cutters with a bounce pass as well as throw an accurate pass down the floor and hit his teammate in stride.
