He scored in every feasible fashion from everywhere on the floor. The best part of his game was that the 51 points scored probably wasn't what stood out the most in his game. For me, it was his vastly improved athletic defense. Sanderson was a thorn in the side of Canton on the perimeter all game long. Very underrated last year. This year he has superstar written all over his game. We all know he can shoot, but in this game, he was so adept working the baselines and driving the lane, that he didn't really even need his jumper. Pettus did a nice job establishing position and letting the game come to him. He not only was comfortable with contact, but initiated it and thrived with it. Quite simply, he's a very high level lead guard in my opinion. He works well off screens, where he reads the defense and attacks their response to the screen. Perettie does a very nice job advancing the ball through pressure with the pass. He showed off a very fast first step early in the game, which allowed him to get in the lane with the ball and finish effectively in traffic. Vachon showed a pretty left to right crossover and 3 point range on his jumper as well.
