John Paul Rose
John Paul Rose
This was my first time seeing this young man play and I could tell just minutes into the game that he was a difference maker. Rose was a playmaker all game long, sparking his team to a big early season win. He was able to penetrate the lane at will and showed off a terrific mid range game. That mid range game featured floaters with touch, contested buckets and a dangerous pull up jumper. Rose showed 3 point range, specifically off the catch and shoot. He had excellent straight line speed with the ball and was able to beat defenders down the floor for easy looks. I had him at 31 points in the game.
Julien Rodarte

Brody Johnson Brody Johnson 6’5″ | SF Hartford | 2025 State MI will need some help and Rodarte might be that guy as the season develops. They fell behind early and it was Rodarte’s energy on both ends that helped spark a comeback and get Hartford back in the game. He was active around and under the rim and got some timely buckets. Rodarte was able to get some put back buckets off offensive rebounds as well as finish at the rim. I’m excited to see what this young man can bring to the table as the season plays on.
Colin McDowell
Colin McDowell
Tecumseh picked up an impressive win over a very talented young Clinton team. McDowell played a big role in the win. He showed some wiggle with the ball in his hands and could be called shifty with it at least. McDowell was able to go to his right and attack the rim with a straight line drive multiple times.
There is certainly a lot to like about Stelzer’s game. He’s big and strong and knows how to use it to shield and protect the ball when he’s attacking the rim. Stelzer can also finish at the rim with physicality and finish through contact. In this game, I was probably most impressed with his vision and passing. He’s not just a big strong athlete. Stelzer saw the floor and delivered some pretty passes. I really liked what he could do from the high post with his ability to score and dish.
Turner didn’t shoot the ball like he normally does, but that’s of no concern. 9 out 10 days, he’s hitting most of those shots. What made his night solid was that he still found a way to positively influence the game. He didn’t let his shot control his quality. Instead, Turner attacked the boards (he had 4 just in the first few minutes). He picked up a couple hard earned looks at the rim in the late 2nd quarter that he turned into points. Trust me when I say that college coaches will want to have Turner’s name on file.
