Tiger Cuff Tiger Cuff 6’4″ | CG American Fork | 2024 State UT id the straw that stirs the drink. The more and more we see him on the floor you can see that Weber State is getting a high IQ standout that can impact the game as a lead guard but off the ball as well. His crafty style of play just catches defenders off-guard. Think of him as a starting pitcher that has some nasty stuff anf a few off speed pitches that are just hard to hit. His attack mode right now is next level and he can always hit from deep if you give him too much space.
O’neal was in the zone and the thing that stood out the most was his improved shooting. He was really taking ownership of the right wing as he was taking advantage of the help defense and was able to get some great looks from good distance and he has a very seamless and effortless outside jumper. Really nice play last night where he caught the defense sleeping and he made a very good cut to the rim and caught a lob. He has an explosive first step and a lot of poise.
Easton Hawkins Easton Hawkins 6’4″ | CG Lehi | 2025 State UT had a coming out party. Not only did he go off for 31 points he did against a team with speedy athletes. Easton has become one of the most complete guards in the state as he hit 5 three-pointers and was attacking at will. Hawkins is a sleeper out here in Utah with D1 talent. D1 programs could find a good one out here at Lehi High School.
Noah has been coming off of an injury and has a few games under his belt but this game last night might have been the best game he has put together. He had some moments in the first half stretching the floor and making the defense pay for jumping into a zone. His shooting ability made the defense closeout harder as the tried to push him off the three-point line, that opened things up for his teammates to get easier runs at the rim. In the second half he hit some really big jumpers to help CCHS seal the deal in a tough game. Noah is just getting back, so we expect him to continue to move the needle as the season progresses.
Highlights
Kayden showed that he has that 20 PPG type os skill set regardless who he is playing. He is deadly in the corner with that deadly lefty shot. If he has time to size it up he is going to make more that he misses. When he was attacking he was getting through the lane and through contact like a running back running through the line. He uses his jabs steps well to create space in the perimeter to either shoot or make his way to the lane. Great showing fo rthe Class of 2025 SG.
