1.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1376713' first='Drew' last='Wagner'] (Waterloo Christian) - 26.6 points per game

A strong, physical 6-4 big man, Wagner will find himself on a few more of these top-10 lists during the break, as he has stuffed the stat sheet for the Regents to the tune of 12.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.8 blocks a game. He uses his physical frame and soft hands and touch to dominate the painted area on both ends of the floor. His 44-point effort against Clarksville on December 8 was the highest output from any 1A player so far this season.

2.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='2325277' first='Treyton' last='Travis'] (Baxter) - 26.4

Another player with a 40-burger on his resume this season, Travis dropped 41 points against BCLUW back on December 5 on 16-28 shooting. He's an athletic 6-0 guard who is at his best when he's playing downhill and attacking the rim, using his quickness and athleticism to finish effectively. He has improved as a playmaker, dishing out 4.1 assists a game, and is a menace on the defensive end (4.1 steals a game), which helps contribute to his lofty point totals.

3.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171690' first='Grady' last='Jeppesen'] (Riverside) - 26.4

Jeppesen has been one of the top scorers in the state each of the last four years, a skilled 6-0 guard with a knack for putting the ball in the hole. He's having his most efficient year so far, posting 49-39-70 shooting splits while also leading the Bulldogs in rebounding (7.0) and assists (3.3).

4.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1759934' first='Hakeal' last='Powell'] (Prince of Peace) - 26.1

Powell is a quick-twitch athlete on the perimeter who thrives when he's attacking the rim, but one of the reasons he's turned into such an electric scorer for the Irish is the huge step forward he's made with his jumper. Through PoP's first eight games, he's averaging 3.6 made 3-pointers per game at a 45.3% clip. That's a massive improvement over the 1.1 made 3-pointers per game at a 28.3% clip that he put up as a sophomore.

5.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1765506' first='Brady' last='Boulton'] (Montezuma) - 25.0

Boulton has been excellent for the Braves, scoring from all three levels with efficiency and contributing across the board, averaging 6.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.4 steals a game in addition to his huge scoring totals. A 5-10 guard who shoots it really well off the catch, he has stepped into a primary playmaking role this season and thrived with the ball in his hands.

6.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1476992' first='Lucas' last='Frohwein'] (Colo-Nesco) - 24.8

A lanky, mobile big man who runs the floor hard and finishes really well around the rim, Frohwein is shooting 64.5% from the floor and pulling down 10.4 rebounds a game in addition to his nearly 25 points. At 6-3, with length and mobility, he's a tough matchup for opposing Iowa Star teams.

7.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1174816' first='Toryn' last='Severson'] (Madrid) - 23.8

Severson is one of the smartest players in the state, a 6-4 wing who really understands the game, doesn't force anything, and knows when he needs to take over a game as a scorer. He moves really well without the ball in his hands, can create for himself and teammates off the dribble, and provides a ton of versatility on both ends of the floor for the Tigers. He's shooting over 51% from the floor and blocking nearly three shots a game.

8.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1436496' first='Dylan' last='Marquart'] (Dunkerton) - 23.6

Following the graduations of Preston Gillespie and Casey Gardner, there were going to be a ton of shots available for the Raiders this season, and Marquart has stepped into the primary scoring role and thrived. He's posting shooting splits of 53-49-68 and has already knocked down 34 3-pointers through eight games. He's armed with a lightning-quick release, unlimited range, and great off-ball movement.

9.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1476981' first='Cayde' last='Eberling'] (West Fork) - 23.6

A skilled guard with great size at 6-4/6-5, Eberling does a great job utilizing that size edge to his advantage, posting up smaller defenders and inverting the offense for the Warhawks. He's a capable perimeter shooting threat, but he's at his best when he's operating inside the arc.

10.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1751217' first='Rayce' last='Snyder'] (Wayne) - 23.3

A 6-6 forward who does a large majority of his damage inside the arc, Snyder has been consistently dominant on both ends of the floor for the Falcons, who have already won six games after winning just eight all of last season.
