We're about a month into the season now and beginning to get a better idea of the landscape in Georgia this year. We've seen good and bad games from almost everyone in the state, even some of the best suffering early losses. Here we'll break down our top 25 teams in the state, tell you who's moved around, and why.

Alexander jumps up to the #3 spot after knocking off Wheeler on Saturday who previously sat at #3. They're currently 6-0 with impressive wins over #4 Wheeler, #10 Mt. Vernon, Heritage Christian (CA), and Vashon (MO).

Dutchtown and Holy Innocents each slide back four spots after suffering some unexpected losses. However, Dutchtown bounced back with a strong win against #15 Eagle's Landing on Friday night and we're all aware of how dangerous Holy Innocents can be with [player_tooltip player_id='1383017' first='Caleb' last='Wilson'] leading the way. Both teams remain in the top 15.

Sandy Creek slides up to #8 after taking Grayson to the final buzzer and proving they can play with anyone in the state. They've already tallied wins over multiple top 25 teams and their one loss is very respectable. [player_tooltip player_id='1204748' first='Amari' last='Brown'] is playing the best basketball of his career, [player_tooltip player_id='1050448' first='Micah' last='Smith'] makes for a terrific anchor, and these Patriots are one of the most well-coached teams on the list.

Shiloh comes in at #20. The Generals are 6-0 and made a serious statement on Saturday by taking down Kimball (TX). [player_tooltip player_id='1383029' first='Tylis' last='Jordan'] is a certified star, capable of taking over a game when he wants to. [player_tooltip player_id='1686674' first='Jullien' last='Cole'] has emerged as an excellent running mate and he's done some serious damage since landing in Georgia this fall. Shiloh will be tested the next two weekends by Riverwood and #5 Berkmar.

Langston Hughes also makes their first appearance in the rankings after winning 5 straight. They handed #11 Dutchtown their first loss of the season and also beat a very underrated Decatur squad. [player_tooltip player_id='1530170' first='Cameron' last='Catholic'] has made his presence felt right away and his high-energy defense really fits the culture at Langston Hughes. We've got them at #21.

Buford rounds out the top 25 and they've surpassed expectations so far under first year head coach, Wes Parker. They're 4-1 right now with an early win over #19 Tucker and their only loss was a hard fought battle against #7 Newton. Buford's matchup against Etowah should be a fun one on Saturday as both teams shoot the three-ball extremely well.
