After seeing Joyce (pictured) play at our Freshman Showcase event in August, it was pretty clear that he was going to be an immediate impact player for the Golden Bears and he hasn’t disappointed. He’s averaging 16.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists a game, leading the team in scoring and ranking second in helpers. A 6-0/6-1 guard who can play with or without the ball in his hands, he’s a good shooter off the dribble or the catch who can play downhill and get to the rim. He sees the floor well and is a high IQ guard who likes to get his teammates involved.
Trey Boetcher (Panorama)
A 5-10/5-11 combo guard who can stuff the stat sheet, Boetcher has been productive on both ends of the floor through his first 10 varsity games with the Panthers, averaging 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 steals a game. He’s a capable shooter from deep but is at his best when he’s getting to the rim and finishing.
AJ Harder AJ Harder 6'0" | PG Tri-Center | 2027 IA (Tri-Center)
A 5-11 flamethrower, Harder has already knocked down 31 3-pointers in his first nine games of the season, and he’s knocking them down at a 44.3% clip. He leads the Trojans in both scoring (18.2 points) and assists (5.0), and he has been remarkably efficient.
Landon Blum Landon Blum 6'5" | SG Woodbine | 2027 State IA (Woodbine)
Despite playing at tiny Woodbine, Blum, a 6-5 combo forward may be one of the best freshmen in the state. He’s a freaky athletic forward who was an All-State wide receiver as a freshman, and he’s averaging 15.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists a game on 51-41-62 shooting splits on the hardwood. His ability to stretch the floor as well as attack off the dribble make him a dangerous weapon, and it seems like he’s just getting started.
Trevon Keely (Paton-Churdan)
The Rockets are winless and have won just four of their last 61 games, but Keely is actually a bit of a reason for some optimism moving forward. A 6-0 guard who can do a little bit of everything, he’s averaging a team-high 16.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.9 steals a game.
