We had the opportunity to watch four great games which included back-to-back buzzer-beaters in games two and three. While those matchups created a ton of excitement there was plenty of other action worthy of discussing throughout the day. For more from each matchup you can check out our Prep Hoops Indiana Live Blog from the quarterfinal games. Now, let’s highlight some of the top individual performers from the day of hoops.
Baird will be remembered for his nearly three-quarter court game-winner to lift South Bend Riley over Jeffersonville 60-58. However, the Bethel commit played well up to that point as well. The 6’5″ wing finished with 18 points and 9 rebounds in the game for the Wildcats as they advanced to 10-2 on the season. He is always under control on the floor, can impact the game in a variety of ways offensively, and is always heavily involved in their rebounding efforts.
Of the dozen or so college coaches who were at the Fishers versus Bloomington North game, most of them would were there because they would love to coach Keenan Garner Keenan Garner 6’6″ | PF Fishers | 2024 State IN next season. The versatile 6’6″ forward did not disappoint scoring 17 points as the Tigers dominated Bloomington North 94-48. His agility, footwork, and ball handling always stands out for a player that is as physical as he is. Garner is a great rebounder and passer as well. Don’t be surprised if he still plays himself into another offer or two before it is all said and done.
It may have came in a 46-point blowout, but Lindeman deserves to be mentioned for scoring 31 points against Fishers on Thursday afternoon. The 6’5″ junior guard from Bloomington North was the one player for the Cougars who consistently handled Fishers’ pressure defense and was able to function offensively without turning it over. Lindeman is a consistent scoring threat from all spots on the floor and uses his size and length well whether it be to elevate for a mid-range jump shot or score over a defender in the lane. He remains a largely under-the-radar prospect statewide that very well could be a Division I player down the road.

Even Parrish himself would likely admit it wasn’t his best performance on Thursday against Lawrence Central. However, the talented senior guard did enough to lift the Trojans over the Bears 57-54 including the game-winning free throws at the end. Parrish finished with 21 points to lead all scorers in the game. There were a plethora of college coaches from all levels there watching him play as well.
If you watch this dynamic guard play and only mention his (lack of) size then you are missing the point. Schindler is an absolute bucket-getter that will make some college program better down the road. On Thursday afternoon he scored a game-high 21 points to lead South Bend Riley to a 60-58 win over Jeffersonville. His shiftiness and change of pace allows him to create his own shot at all three levels. Schindler is a very, very good shooter off of the bounce.

One of the more complete prospects from the day at the Fishers Holiday Tournament, Wellman was not to be outdone by the buzzer-beater in the previous game. The 6’5″ junior wing knocking in his own game-winning three from the right wing as time expired as Portage defeated Evansville Bosse 69-66. He finished with 24 points in the game to lead all scorers. Wellman is a fluid athlete with excellent strength and body control around the rim. He can also attack closeouts off of the dribble and find the open man as a passer. Very well-rounded offensive player.
