Bensalem over Sankofa, 61-40
Noah Morris | 5’10 G 2024 Bensalem
Noah got the party started by letting his jumper sing in front of their home crowd. He hit four spots-up triples in the opening quarter. Whenever his teammates got an advantage, they could count on him to find space out on the perimeter and get his shot off. They went back to him again in the second, where he gave them a fifth three-pointer. All coming in the first half, Noah’s 15 points put the game out of reach early.
Nasir Williams Nasir Williams 5'11" | CG Sankofa Freedom Academy | 2025 State PA | 5’11 G 2025 Sankofa
The game got away from Sankofa from the jump, but Williams still managed to make some incredible plays. He finished with craft around the basket coming off of his step-throughs. His highlight came in the second quarter, when he drove, used a behind-the-back pick-up to evade the help defender, then flipped the ball in for 2 points. He contributed a humble 11 points in the contest.
Imhotep over Archbishop Wood, 72-65
Ahmad Nowell Ahmad Nowell 6'0" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2024 State #36 Nation PA | 6’2 G 2024 Imhotep
In what might be the regular season game of the year in the Philadelphia area, Nowell’s star shone brightest. His jumper was without fail. He hit five threes on a mix of catch-and-shoots and pull-ups. His defense was also on-points, forcing turnovers and immediately turning them into fastbreak buckets. Then, in the fourth quarter, Nowell put the finishing touches on the game by getting to the rim and to the line for 19 points in the final 8 minutes. The UConn-signee left it all on the floor with 36 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
RJ Smith RJ Smith 5'8" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2026 State PA | 5’8 G 2024 Imhotep
The sophomore point guard drew the tall order of defending the highly talented scorer, Jalil Bethea Jalil Bethea 6'4" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State #5 Nation PA . His effort didn’t show up in the counting stats, but Smith succeeded in limiting Bethea as a movement shooter by tirelessly chasing him around screens and being in his face as soon as he caught it. Smith put up 9 points of his own. However, the more crucial role he played was getting the ball out to Tep’s shooter and pushing the pace in transition for 4 assists. Smith tallied 3 rebounds and 2 steals as well.
Milan Dean Milan Dean 6'3" | SF Archbishop Wood | 2025 State #286 Nation PA Jr | 6’3 G/W 2025 Archbishop Wood
Despite coming up short, Dean played one of his best all-around games in a Viking’s uniform. He flew around defensively versus the taller Panthers squad, coming away with 2 steals and 2 blocks to help Wood fight back from an early deficit. In conjunction with his help defense, Dean chipped in on offense too. He hit two big threes in the second quarter, on his way to 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Josh Reed Josh Reed 6'3" | CG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State PA | 6’3 G 2024 Archbishop Wood
While taking turns trying to slow down Nowell, the defensive-minded Drexel-signee paced the Vikings on offense. Reed muscled his way to the paint before scoring over, around, and through the Tep defense. His steady 18 points kept them alive, especially when their 1st or 2nd options weren’t there. The same can be said of his 7 rebounds, many of which led to second-chance opportunities.
