The CSP Holiday Classic had three great games today with a lot of top performances. Here is our list of top performers!

[player_tooltip player_id='1288733' first='Isaac' last='Asuma'] of Cherry (sr). Asuma's defense was outstanding. His shot contesting both inside and out was some of the best shot contesting I have seen in a game. Asuma had eight blocks with six coming from his low post defense on Waldoch and two more coming at the arc. He also had four steals. Asuma scored 15 points on 7 of 15 shooting with one three and then the rest going at the rim. Had six assists too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284162' first='Jordan' last='Cain'] of Minnetonka (sr). The thing I loved about Cain the most was that he went straight at [player_tooltip player_id='1284106' first='Chiang' last='Ring'] and got results. Cain physically attacked the best shot blocker in the state, made contact, and hung in the air to extend and finish. Jordan had a run of eight straight makes in the second half leading to his 25 points on 11 of 14 shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='1172835' first='Casmir' last='Chavis'] of Park Center (sr). Another game against a top five Class AAAA team, another situation where Chavis took the ball down the stretch and could not be stopped from getting to the rim. He scored on the last four Park Center possessions of the game plus had the steal that put his team ahead for good. Pushed past foul trouble in both halves to score 24 points with seven assists on 9 of 13 shooting plus he out the game away from the foul line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284155' first='Jayden' last='Daisy'] of Benilde-St. Margaret's (sr). The 6'3/6'4 and strong Daisy was the one guy that Maple Grove did not have a good match-up with in the halfcourt set. His strength allowed him regular touches breaking off the defender or posting, and his agility after the catch to the attack was too much for the wings that had to defend him. Good touch as well, scored 23 points on 8 of 11 shooting with four of four foul shooting.

Gannon McGuire of Maple Grove (6'0 sr). McGuire was scorching and he kept finding room to catch and hit big shots for the Crimson. His coach's line corner three was the most memorable of his six threes and 8 of 11 shooting overall for 26 points. A shooter you have to at least have a hand up on so he can't catch and you sure as heck need to talk on defense about where he will be.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284106' first='Chiang' last='Ring'] of Park Center (6'8 sr). Ring was one block away from a triple double against Minnetonka. He made 11 of 16 field goals with five or six dunks shooting 11 of 16 for his 27 points. Ring grabbed 11 boards and he blocked nine shots including one of the buzzer beating attempts. Tonka had no chance of dropping into help and stopping him from finishing above the rim. And his shot blocking and shot contesting, Ring has some of the best timing you will ever see. It makes him block shots like a seven footer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1293966' first='Henry' last='Stang'] of Maple Grove (sr). Henry had a tough time finishing at the rim but he made up for that by making foul shots, by getting deep in the paint and delivering passes to others, and by making some key plays at key times. Solid defender too. Had 12 points and nine assists in a win over BSM constantly delivering on the attack against a BSM defense that was all over the place in help.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579910' first='Noah' last='Sundquist'] of Cherry (jr). This 6'2/6'3 wing has a lot more bounce than people expect when he comes down hill. He's like a track runner that gets into his lift far earlier than expected and he's always coming at the rim for scores. A transition terror plus he hit a three. Scored his 22 points on 9 of 10 shooting with 3 of 4 foul shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='1288767' first='Greyson' last='Uelmen'] of Minnetonka (sr). Every time we see Greyson we learn there is just a little more to Greyson than we realized. His no fear going at the rim, his shooting percentages, his willingness to defend, and his dribble separation, all of them are a bit better than we knew. Discord 20 points on 6 of 12 shooting plus he made all five foul shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284201' first='Owen' last='Waldoch'] of Forest Lake (sr). I don't think this was Owen at his best but even on a day where he wasn't what he wanted to be, he made a big impact. Owen grabbed a game high nine rebounds, he moved the ball well helping shooters get touches, had a couple possessions getting the ball across the halfcourt line against pressure, and scored 17 points. His right shoulder touch is so tough to defend.
