John Burroughs vs Hazelwood Central (4:00pm)

An early matchup with a lot of firepower. This might be the game of the day. Hazelwood Central is playing well under new coach Kelvin Lee and he has a dynamic backcourt duo in Travis Green and [player_tooltip player_id='2544955' first='Izy' last='Prude'] who are averaging better than 43 points per contest combined. He has athletic forwards and they'll be needed to stop [player_tooltip player_id='1850526' first='Tristan' last='Reed'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1557399' first='Sheek' last='Pearson'] who are the sophomore towers for Burroughs. Reed has been a walking double-double through 3 games and Pearson isn't far behind. This is the game to see and it's happening early in the day.

CBC vs. McCluer North (5:30pm)

Two of the brightest young coaches in the area will battle in the second contest. CBC is 2-0 and getting even contributions from their big three. [player_tooltip player_id='1422817' first='Terron' last='Garrett'], [player_tooltip player_id='1425715' first='Matt' last='Michalski'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1872266' first='Devin' last='Houston'] give the Cadets a solid guard, wing, and big. They're looking to play fast and so is McCluer North under Rashad Lindsey. He has a dynamic guard in [player_tooltip player_id='1557492' first='Harrison' last='Bailey-Howard'] who's a kid he has trusted since the moment he took the job. A nice private-public matchup in the second game slot.

Webster Groves vs. Jennings (7:00pm)

The host Webster Groves are sure to pack the stands as they always do at their event. It's an exciting time to be a Statesmen fan. They have a talented roster with some similarities to their 2022 group that won it all. They're coming off a big opening win vs. Tolton in Columbia. It all starts with energy, toughness, and defense. [player_tooltip player_id='1259025' first='Iziah' last='Purvey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2334870' first='Scottie' last='Adkinson'] are their top scorers. As for Jennings they're a scrappy group who will be looking to steal a win. Jayden Jefferson is a player that has impressed for them early and can create his own shot.

Lee's Summit North vs. St. Mary's (8:30pm)

Lee's Summit North has started 3-0 and St. Mary's has started 7-0. A battle of the undefeateds. [player_tooltip player_id='1422723' first='Zyree' last='Collins'] is a dynamic 2025 guard with Division 1 offers for St. Mary's. He's coming off a 44 point night and has his team clicking on all cylinders. They're guard heavy but tough and understand what it takes to win. Bryan Turner does an excellent job on the southside. Lee's Summit North has a sophomore named [player_tooltip player_id='2111114' first='Tre' last='Paulding'] that is starting hot. He's a dynamic all-around player and has shooters such as PK Newberry and Will Ray that surround him. The Broncos make more than 7 threes per game.
