Several players used the event to increase their future rankings. Here’s a look at the top 10 stockrisers from the event.
Long active live body player. Lewis showed terrific hands and was really good catching and finishing around the basket. He was effective as a rim runner and rim protector, and despite fouling out both skills helped Vacaville get a victory.
Highlights
Lee was the most consistent player for SS. In addition to his handle, I liked his ability to shoot the ball. He made a couple threes including a 4th quarter one to keep his squad attached.
It was Washington’s first Varsity game, but he played like a Vet. He looks like a Veteran as both in the military and athletic sense, he has a strong upper frame which allowed him to muscle up on defense. His skill was on point, when he was able to take his time, he showed a nice stroke, knocking down multiple threes.
If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Underwood repeated a similar move fake left, drive right. No one could stop the slasher as he relentlessly attacked the rim. The downhill stud kept his Christian Brothers squad in the game throughout, showing the ability to finish his attacks at the rim.
Haupt was a fan of the K.I.S.S method. He kept it simple and it resulted in a strong performance. He played the top of the zone, so on any missed shots he was at the other end, finishing in transition. I don’t want to make it out as if all He did was Cherry Pick, because he also protected the ball and managed to score off drives in the half court. He finished with 26 to help his Jesuit squad to a victory.
Rowe definetly could make a case for being higher on my Top Snipers list. He took out the slight snub on Clark. After every three he gave the Ice Water in the veins sign. He left the gym colder than an Alaskan Winter. Rowe sprayed threes from everywhere showing a strap from distance, finishing with 4 total for the game.
This waa my first time seeing Coleman this season and he could be in for a monster one. I thought he did a tremendous job of blending the responsibilities of facilitating and scoring, behind his 15 points the Chargers got a hard fought win.
