Brewer is one of the best-unsigned seniors in the NWO area in my opinion. This kid can do it all on the offensive end of the floor. He can get all the way to the rim. He may not be the fastest or quickest but he understands angles and uses contact well. His jumper from the mid and beyond the arc is the best part of his game. He has an extremely quick shoot of the dribble and can do it off a dribble from either hand. He is just as good at catch-n-shooting. Brewer is a hooper too. You can tell this kid loves competing.
Highlights
Brown is a next-level hooper because of his skill and athletic ability. He is an explosive and quick athlete. This allows him to be a defensive lockdown defender. His motor on both ends of the floor is high but is on full display on defense. Brown can apply great pressure and is long so if you are weak with the ball then he will cause a turnover. He also has a clip. He elevates very high on his jumper and has a quick release and it is efficient. I like Brown’s game a lot and with Emmanuel Christian being his team this year, I am excited to see how he does in that role.
Highlights
Conaway had a breakout junior year last year for Liberty-Benton and now going into his senior year it’s his team. He is a big wing that can do damage from the inside and out. He showed me very good rim protection last year when I watched him play and go to the rim effectively. He is a mismatch in the Buckeye Valley Conference. He is a good shooter but that isn’t the only effective part of his game. He can get to the rim with both hands and finish. Conaway is a strong kid who could dominate this year in the BVC. The Eagles have high expectations this year and it falls on his shoulders, interested to see how he responds.
Majors is a kid who is coming off a HOT offseason and preseason. He has taken leaps and bounds in his game. The biggest thing that has come from his improvement is his confidence. He is the head of the snake for Maumee Valley and their offense will go as he goes, he seems to be thriving on that. He is ultra aggressive player and looks to score. He is very good at timing, finding spots, and angles to score the ball. He crashes the boards hard which gives him a lot of second points. He is a long player who keeps getting more athletic.
Shultz used to be the sneaky player for Perrysburg that could hurt you but is now the vocal point for the Jackets this season. He is going to be their point guard who runs the offense but needs to score too. This kid can score. He is a sneaky and quiet scorer. You look up and he all of a sudden has 25 points. He is a knockdown shooter when left open. He is a sneaky-good finisher for his size. His size is the question mark on him but he proves time and again he can score against anyone.
Davis is a long and athletic wing who is going to be a crucial role player for Whitmer this year. He plays fast and hard. He can be a lockdown defender who can guard multiple positions. He knows how to use his length and athleticism on the defensive end. He can shut down your best player and then make you pay on offense. He can shoot the rock. A true 3-n-D guy. He attacks the rim hard for rebounds as well. Does a lot of little things well.
