There’s always small town talent in NW Ohio that have productive college careers and I think Brewer has the chance to do that. After making the final four as a Sophomore, Brewer has done a nice job as the main piece for the Archers the past two seasons. A standout on both the hardwood and the gridiron, Brewer has led Antwerp to some signature wins this season. Brewer recently became the all time leading scorer for Antwerp as well. Division II and NAIA programs from Ohio and Indiana should be taking a strong look at Brewer right now.

Brewer is one of the best-unsigned seniors in the NWO area in my opinion. This kid can do it all on the offensive end of the floor. He can get all the way to the rim. He may not be the fastest or quickest but he understands angles and uses contact well. His jumper from the mid and beyond the arc is the best part of his game. He has an extremely quick shoot of the dribble and can do it off a dribble from either hand. He is just as good at catch-n-shooting. Brewer is a hooper too. You can tell this kid loves competing.

A two-sport stud, Brewer has gotten it done for the Antwerp Archers on both the hardwood and the gridiron. Helping lead a final four run as a sophomore in hoops, Brewer has the football program at 9-1 heading into the OHSAA playoffs that kickoff this weekend. Expect even more noise to come from Brewer this winter than he’s already made throughout the fall.

A small school talent, Brewer comes from an Antwerp program that recently sent Jagger Landers to Findlay. Brewer could be the next scholarship talent from Antwerp and should put up huge numbers as a senior. Also having a big season on the gridiron right now for a 7-1 Antwerp squad.

Brewer is someone who most people in the Toledo area might not know but he had them leaving the gym talking about. He can flat-out go. Brewer has seemed to get a little taller and bigger than the last time I have seen him play. This was great for him when absorbing contact and creating it when attacking the rim. He was super effective when attacking the rim. Brewer continued to showcase his great midrange game and ability to shoot off the dribble. He has such high elevation and quick release. He led the Red team to a great day.

Brewer is a guard going into his senior year that tore it up last year at this event. As I walked the sideline, I got stopped multiple times to talk about Brewer. His team went undecided, and he might’ve scored the most points of any player the whole day. He straight-up knows how to put the ball in the rim. He is a certified three-level scorer. His ability to shoot off the dribble, on the move, and catch-n-shoot from beyond the arc. He has an incredibly quick shot. His midrange pull-up game is very old-school. He has a high elevation and leans back away from the defense making his shot almost uncontestable. Then when he gets to the rim, he knows how to finish at a very efficient level no matter what the defense does. This kid is tough to stop, and I expect him to have another big outing on October 1st.

Brewer is a prospect who stood out in the Fall at the Toledo Top 64 event after an impressive summer with NW Ohio. A tough secondary creator, Brewer has taken huge steps in his ability to create his own shot and his contested looks off the bounce. I also thought Brewer took a leap athletically, becoming more explosive when attacking the rim. One of the top small school prospects from NW Ohio, an area that routinely has hidden gems, Brewer will be getting heavy scholarship interest this spring and summer.

Brewer played a key role next to Jagger Landers for the regional champions Antwerp Archers last winter. This summer and fall I saw Brewer take on a much bigger scoring role, creating his own shot and scoring efficiently. Brewer has established himself as a scholarship level prospect and will be able to show what he’s been working on all summer during his Junior season.

Brewer just keeps on getting better every time I watch him play and was serving buckets however you’d like them on Sunday. Brewer is a tough cover with the ball in his hands and has taken a clear step from the winter/spring with his confidence as a creator for himself. Brewer will be one of the top players in Division IV this season as Antwerp looks to have another deep playoff run after the graduation of Jagger Landers.
