Conaway had a breakout junior year last year for Liberty-Benton and now going into his senior year it’s his team. He is a big wing that can do damage from the inside and out. He showed me very good rim protection last year when I watched him play and go to the rim effectively. He is a mismatch in the Buckeye Valley Conference. He is a good shooter but that isn’t the only effective part of his game. He can get to the rim with both hands and finish. Conaway is a strong kid who could dominate this year in the BVC. The Eagles have high expectations this year and it falls on his shoulders, interested to see how he responds.

A prospect I’ve seen numerous times on the Prep Hoops Circuit, I thought Conaway played better on Sunday than I’ve seen previously. He was assertive in the paint, confident with the ball in his hands and made a lot of shots. Just active everywhere on the floor, deflecting passes, moving off the ball to get easy looks and grabbing a lot of offensive rebounds. If Conaway can continue to play with this confidence, he will be a dominant force as a senior and have a chance to win conference POY.

Conaway is a big wing from Liberty Benton who can put his name on to colleges’ radars in a major way on October 1st. The 6’5 wing is as solid as they come. He has a very nice skillset that allows him to play inside and out. He likes to shoot the ball from beyond the arc. He has a nice stroke that is hard to contest with his height and length. He has a wide frame that will be good for him getting bigger and stronger. He is a good rebounder. He has a nice bag when he gets the ball near the rim. He has a good ability to put the ball in with either hand. He is a very good defender but specifically a blocker. He can send your shot to the 5th row if you’re not aware of him.

A prep hoops circuit standout, Conaway is an all-conference performer at Liberty Benton and has continued his productive play with Hopson Elite this spring. A skilled forward who can put it on the floor and hit the open perimeter shot, Conaway has a lot of ways to score the ball. A high iq player as well who can hit the open man, small college programs should check Conaway out this summer, he’ll be at multiple Prep Hoops events in July including the Grit Region Finals.
