The Reed brothers get the headlines at Mason since they transferred from Bracken County but they’ll likely impact Carter as well. McClanahan should benefit from a lot of open shots and less of a defensive burden.
Highlights
We’ve been waiting for Mayor to break out at Ashland since he arrived a couple of years ago. Now in his last year with the Tomcats, they’ll need him to play a big role and provide an inside presence.
Catholic is being overlooked a little in the 11th region but Reinhart enters his third season as a starter and should be more of an offensive focus this year. John is a tough guard who can play all game without breaking a sweat thanks to being a big time distance runner.
Transfers Damone King Damone King 6’0″ | PG DeSales | 2024 State KY and Prince Kahnplaye Prince Kahnplaye 6’0″ | PG DeSales | 2025 State KY get a lot of notoriety but Brady could shine brighter than both of them on any given night. Cummins shoots the lights out and has really improved as a ball handler.
Spencer County has a tough and talented roster that also happens to be pretty short. Keaton plays hard and rebounds on both ends. He makes the most of his opportunities and could be an X factor for a Bears team with high expectations for this season.
Known for being one of Kentucky’s best football players, Max is also a difference maker on the court. With Jack Edelen gone to WKU, Gainey will need to provide more scoring than he did last season while maintaining his defensive intensity for Coach Haworth’s squad.
