Continue ReadingOn Monday we released our initial Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Watch List featuring 190 of the best freshmen from across the state. We do not rank prospects in the freshmen class until we’ve been able to at least see them play for their respective high school teams, so there won’t be a ranking until our next update. However, we still continue to grow the watch list over the next few months before ultimately releasing a Top 25 after the first of the year. With that being said, we will know who a few of the very best prospects are in the class and what names you’ll be hearing sooner rather than later this high school season. Between our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and other events from the summer and fall we have already started to get a grasp on these younger prospects. So, here are four centers in the Class of 2027 that we have enjoyed watching early on in their careers.
If there is a player that you feel deserves to be on our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Watch List PLEASE shoot me a DM on Twitter @BRamseyKSR or send me an email at coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com. I will make sure to add them to my database and include them in the next update of our Watch List.
***Please disregard the Position Ranking that is being listed in the player profile. We are working to remove those on the backend. All prospects are simply listed alphabetically.***
A very big, physical interior presence, Gordon showed very well at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase back in August. He more than held his own defensively against the other prospects on this list. The 6’6″ center has a bright future for the Brownsburg Bulldogs.

Hill proved himself over the summer as one of the best prospects regardless of position in the Class of 2027. He stepped into some major varsity minutes for the Pike Red Devils and should make an instant impact this winter. At 6’9″ with plus length Hill already has the requisite size, length, and athleticism to play the position. Very intriguing long-term prospect.
There aren’t many freshmen walking around at 6’10” like this Brebeuf Jesuit product. Ly really burst onto the scene at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase on August 27th as a high-upside talent. Beyond the obvious size, Ly moves well and has some interior skill that you don’t typically see with young prospects his size. His best basketball is very much ahead of him.

Another very intriguing big man in Indiana’s Class of 2027, Price is a 6’7″ prospect from Penn High School with a lot of tools to work with. He is strong for his age, coordinated in terms of footwork both on the block and defensively, and has displayed a soft touch at the rim. The sky is the limit for what he can become over the next few years.
