The regular season has started and I had a chance to watch several games from around the state via the Prep Hoops Missouri Magical Stream Machine. Each week or so, I will continue to introduce you to new names of players from around the state. Here are some New Names of underclassmen who caught my eye during the first week of action.

[player_tooltip player_id='2544986' first='Tai-Shaun' last='Ewing'] (Ritenour): A 6'3 2025 combo guard who came out the gate with a 25-point performance against a good John Burroughs team on opening night. After experiencing a bit a of growth spurt over the summer, he is a confident player with a good burst of quickness and 3-point shooting range. He was also very shifty with the ball as he can change speeds and directions to keep defenders off balance.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344220' first='Lincoln' last='Goodwin'] (St. Joe Benton): A 6'3 2026 guard who was impressive in Benton's opening victory over city rival Central. He has a nice heir on confidence with the ball in his hands. I like his poise and savvy along with his good court vision to drop dimes. He stepped up and made some big shots in the fourth quarter, which included a 3-pointer and a smooth runner in the lane.

TaMarkus Holmes (Forsyth): A 2026 point guard who scored 24 points in a double overtime victory over Marshfield. He was difficult to defend with his strength and quickness to penetrate along with his ability to shoot the 3-pointer. He took over the second overtime session as he was put in iso situations and he delivered some big buckets.

Phillip Nadeau (Oak Grove): A 6'4 2026 guard who had 15 points and 12 rebounds in a victory over Oak Grove. He's very smooth with good fundamentals. He handled the ball against pressure well and could facilitate offense. He hit a couple of 3-pointers and could also attack the basket with his lengthy stride. He was an active rebounder and he was disruptive on the press with his length.

[player_tooltip player_id='2544984' first='Gage' last='Harris'] (Steelville): A 6'5” 2025 forward who controlled the paint in the Cardinals victory over Dixon. He has plenty of bounce and he plays with a strong motor. They were running lob plays for him in the halfcourt offense and off inbounds plays. He was active on the boards as he had 10 rebounds to go with his 18 points. He was running the court hard and diving on the floor for loose balls.

[player_tooltip player_id='2717790' first='Nolan' last='Quick'] (Richmond): An appropriately named 5'6 2026 point guard who was excellent in the game I watched him against Oak Grove. He has good speed and quickness and he could create offense off the dribble. He could change directions on the fly and he could hit the step back jumper. He finished the game with 19 points, including a trio of 3-pointers.

Levi Youtsey (Winston): A 6'4 2025 forward who is a handful at 210 pounds, especially for the Class 1 schools in the NWMO area. He could muscle people around in the lane. The big lefty has a nice shooting touch inside, which includes a fadeaway in the lane. He could also operate from the high post as he was effective in the drive and he could make the elbow jumper.
