The high school season is creeping closer and closer and we at Prep Hoops Indiana will be giving you non-stop previews until the first week of action. With as many talented players in the state this season, it is important that we give you a list of names to keep an eye on for the season, which is what I will be doing with each position in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes. The point of my list is to give you a preview of some the players that are maybe overlooked a little, still on the college recruiting board, or guys in general that deserve to have eyes on them. With that said, here are point guards to watch for in the 2024 class this season.

After fighting a shoulder injury for most of the spring/summer playing on the loaded Indiana Elite 3SSB team, Dunham is expected to come into his senior season fully healthy which is a good sign for his recruitment. The 6'0 lead guard has an incredible feel for the game and brings a lot of productivity on the floor. He will bring excellent playmaking ability, rebounding, defense, and high IQ on the floor for the Eagles this season. In my eyes, Dunham is a D1 caliber player and someone that could be a steal for any school.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6549147ab32e6"} /-->

This year as one of the backcourt leaders for the talented Lawrence North squad, he is projected to have a lot more eyes on him. Bowles is incredibly explosive both with his quickness and when elevating to finish through traffic at the rim. If there is any player in the in-state 2024 class that is due for a breakout senior season, it is Bowles. As of this writing, he currently has only one D1 offer from Bethune Cookman University. That could, and should, change this season.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6549147ab334a"} /-->

He has been on the rise the past few seasons I have felt and is coming into this year averaging 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game as a junior. What makes Swan one of my point guards to watch for this season is his high IQ, passing ability, and how efficient he is behind the arc. He is a little hidden at Tipton, but will be a player that you could hear a times put of major points. Currently has an offer from Hanover.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6549147ab3396"} /-->

Every time I have seen Lovan play, he has shown me that he has such a good motor and takes pride at going at the defense, being a leader, and being a force on the defensive end. He is an excellent driver with good size and body control around the basket and one of the best on-ball defenders at his position. Another lead guard in the state that I feel is highly underrated and under-recruited. Coaches, if you want a hidden gym of a lead guard, Lovan is a guy you need to check out.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6549147ab33df"} /-->
