A total of 32 schools will be in Class A this winter and in this series, we will be reviewing 4 prospects per article from the highest student enrollment schools to the lowest.
A four-year starter for the Dragons, Pokorski is the floor general that most teams wish for. His ability to get to any spot on the floor he wants and create shots for himself, and his team, make him one of the most valuable players in the state. Pokorski is a high IQ, high effort player whose play does all the talking on the court. Pokorski will be in contention for the player of the year in Nebraska and have a stellar senior season.

McClain has strong handles with a quick first step that allows him to get to the basket in a hurry. He can finish around the rim but also hit some clutch 3 pointers down the stretch of last season. McClain got stronger throughout the year, playing his best ball at the end by averaging around 7 points and 3 assists per game. McClain could be the breakout player that climbs on scout’s
With Daleron Thomas Daleron Thomas 6’0″ | CG Omaha Central | 2024 State NE transferring to Omaha Central, it is now Strong’s team to lead. Strong has a long frame that he uses to his advantage on the offensive and defensive end. He is a three-level scorer who is a threat from deep, which allows him to blow by defenders where he can finish multiple ways at the rim. Strong is an aggressive defender who can get wide and poke balls lose with his long arms. Strong will emerge as a hot prospect heading into the postseason.
One of the top forwards in state, Johnson is dangerous with the basketball in his hands. Johnson’s ability to shoot the ball with range combined with being able to live above the rim, make him one of the most feared offensive players in the state. He makes a formidable presence in the painted area with his strength and footwork, while using his long arms to challenge shots on the defensive side of the ball. Johnson’s stock will continue to climb in his junior year.
