Continue ReadingBrammer is great off the catch and shot. With his shot-making ability, he can help stretch the defense and allow his guards to be able to get in the lane. On the defensive side of the ball, he gives the same amount of effort as he would on the offensive end. His range can extend out beyond NBA range and this allows him to create momentum to get to his one or two dribble pull-ups. He understands how to play his role and always stays within his game.

Butler is a small guard who understands how to get in the passing lanes. When going to the basket he knows how to use his body to shield off the defense and finish the rim with ease. He is a great facilitator and also a player that you can’t let have much room because he isn’t afraid to take and make three-point shots consistently. When playing on-ball defense, he is a pest and is very active with his hands in swiping at the ball when defenders show it. He always goes to the defensive glass to try and rebound the basketball. This gives him the advantage because of his speed he becomes a one-man fastbreak.
Friedrichsen is a lefty that has a quick trigger from the three-point line. Because of his ability to shoot the basketball defenders have to consistently push up on him offensively. This allows him to get in the lane and find his teammates for wide-open opportunities. Although he is a lefty he doesn’t mind getting to his right hand to make plays happen as well. On the defensive end, he isn’t afraid to push up on an opposing team ball handler which makes it tough for him to advance the ball up the court.
Rhodes is a guy that has a chance to be good as he grows and matures. He showed flashes of his ability to shoot the three-point shot and get to the whole as well. On the defensive side of the basketball, he uses his length well to discourage guards from getting straight lines to the basket. Although he didn’t get a bunch of opportunities to handle the ball when he did, he showed that he was comfortable handling it and making moves on the perimeter. He is a kid that college coaches will want to keep an eye on as the season goes on because he has a chance to be a mid-major prospect.

Miller is a guy that can play multiple positions. He can score around the rim, post up smaller players, and shoot the three-point shot. What impressed me the most was not his presence on offense but his ability to rebound the basketball and guard the other team’s best perimeter player. I think at the next level he can be a glue guy who commits to doing all the little things that help a program win. He has enough on the offensive end where he can be a great complimentary player and third option.
Johnson is a guy that last year was forced to play down low. This year because Edison has more size he can play his natural position and show what he can do from his natural position point guard. He showed throughout the scrimmage against Choctaw his ability to shoot the three-point show off the dribble and his ability to get his teammates involved. On defense, he did a great job of getting in the passing lane while he was guarding the basketball.

Braedon Everage
Everage is a guy who flat-out plays hard on every single play. It isn’t anything that he does great but just does a bunch of things well. He isn’t a loud kid with his voice but is very loud with his ability to impact the game. His versatility is what kept Choctaw from completely getting blown out when they scrimmaged against Edison. I would love to see him in a system where he can play more of a guard position because I think he would excel in that type of system.
