West is a Fab40 Middle School standout who showed he could hold his own handling the ball and knocking down shots on the perimeter. He’s one prospect with a bright future ahead of him in the 910 area. He’s an electric guard name to get to know at Cape Fear High in North Carolina’s 2027 class.
Highlights
Motta is a fearless guard prospect who’s shown he can operate as a finisher and distributor, especially in the clutch. He’s another Fab40 Middle School alum who competes with energy and by making plays. He’ll be a name to keep eyes on out of Overhills High over the next few seasons given his skill set.
Highlights
Wright-McGee is another electric guard who should really add some depth to the New Hanover High backcourt with what he can do. He’s shown he can operate on and off the ball as a threat with an ability to knock down shots in space as well. He should spend time on JV and varsity in 2023-24 given their talent pool.
McGrath is a bit undersized as a guard but don’t let it fool you as he’s a bucket off the bounce and in open space. He’s a gritty competitor due to grow a ton in the 2027 class in the state. Don’t be surprised to see him break a record or two over the next four seasons with the Hoggard Vikings.
Surles already has some varsity experience under his belt as an eighth grader with Cape Fear Christian Academy and enters as a 2027 prospect to know in the state. He produced 13.3 PPG, 2.1 APG, 1.9 RPG and 1.3 SPG in 2022-23 and looks to do even more in his freshman year.
