Put together another impressive shooting display from the perimeter, efficiently scoring the ball from outside. We love the fact that he doesn’t second guess himself when it comes to shot attempts from the perimeter. He showed some flashes of ballhandling ability, which is the next step for him overall, but he seems to be fitting in very well with his new teammates at Fayetteville Academy.

One of the best shooters in the state showed why he’s worthy of this title with an outstanding shooting display from three point land, converting on a very high percentage of his perimeter shots. He has outstanding shooting range, does a great job of getting his feet set and getting his shot off quickly before the defense can recover.

Arguably the best overall performance of the day, he was on fire from all over the court, displaying his ability as a three-level scorer. He finished with a game high of 35 Points and gave everyone in attendance a glimpse of what he can potentially be in the future.

West moves into the 14th overall position in the latest rankings market corrections. The 6-foot-2 sharpshooter averaged 19.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 steals per contest in 2024-25. He knocked down 110 3-pointers in his sophomore season at Freedom Christian Academy and poses as quite the backcourt presence with Mentality Elite on the grassroots stage this upcoming cycle. West can get hot in a hurry from deep and is another shooting guard for DI programs in the region to get on their radar.

Regarded as one of the top shooters in his class, West posseses a quick, fluid release. West excels from both three-point and mid-range distances, capable of scoring points in rapid succession when he gets hot. Beyond his shooting prowess, West demonstrates strong playmaking abilities, adept at creating opportunities for himself and his teammates. Additionally, he is a proficient finisher at the rim, utilizing his agility and body control to navigate through defenses and convert in traffic. The best shooter in the state, West currently ranks second in 3 pointers made with 100. His shooting form is pure, with a quick release, and smooth shooting motion that is a thing of beauty. However, West is more than a 3 point specialist; he is a dynamic scorer who can create his own shot in the mid range making him a handful to defend. Once West gets rolling, he scores in bunches, taking games over within minutes. West is a skilled passer with good vision. He consistently finds open teammates for easy opportunities. West is a prospect who continues to rise in the 2027 class with Freedom Christian Academy. He’s putting up 20.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.3 steals per contest and ranks second in the state in 3-pointers made (90) on MaxPreps. He’s set to move up in the rankings given his prowess shooting the ball on the perimeter as he pushes the Patriots toward the postseason.

This wasn’t one of his best perimeter shooting games but he still finds ways to make an impact on the game. He pulled down 9 Rebounds to go along with 10 Points, coming up just shy of a double/double.
