Today we will be focusing on the sophomore class and make our way down to the freshmen by the end of the week.
The 5-9 sophomore guard is a true floor general where he displays excellent leadership while out on the floor. He plays with a very unselfish edge finding ways to get his teammates involved. Lane can score on all three levels on the offensive end whether it’s off the bounce or off the catch. He is also an above-average rebounder on the defensive end where he uses his athleticism to an advantage. Look for Lane to have huge upside heading into the upcoming season as college coaches will start attracting towards him this spring. He shot 44 percent from beyond the arc last season as a freshman.

The 6-8 sophomore wing is a multi-positional talent where he add rim protection as well as finish on either side of the rim at the offensive end. On the defensive end, Corris uses a ton of length whether it’s blocking shots or challenging at the front of the rim. He is also a strong on-the-ball defender where he uses his quickness to stay in front of opposing guards, where his length can cause havoc to set off a good shot. He is an unselfish player and a proven winner on both ends of the floor. Look for Corris to have a solid sophomore season where he uses his versatility as his best skillset.

A 6-8 sophomore power forward who has a big frame where he has continuously improved his offensive game as an inside-out scoring threat. He has a nice handle on the outside for his size where he sees the floor well and makes the right reads when he has the ball in his hands. Davis also runs the floor exceptionally well for his size whether it’s in transition or in the half-court offense. On the defensive end, Davis does a great job challenging shots around the rim using his length to an advantage. He has huge upside and could possibly become a legit D-1 prospect in the next couple years.
A 6-5 sophomore guard plays the right way with and without the basketball in his hands, as I’ve been high on him since his freshman season started. Hartman has a smooth release on his jump shot where he can knock it down from either the mid-range or from the perimeter. Hartman currently holds offers from Charlotte, Jacksonville, Omaha, Penn State, Saint Louis and Wichita State. He is a poised point guard who has the chance to be a real special prospect for the next three years.
A 6-2 sophomore guard who plays with a ton of energy at both ends of the floor. He is a true two-way player who can guard on and off the ball at a high level as well where he can cause havoc at the rim. He is also an above-average rebounder for his size where he uses his strength to battle against bigger players. Look for Hall to have huge upside heading into the upcoming season.
The 6-7 sophomore wing has one of the smoothest games I’ve seen for the upcoming sophomore class, as he can score on all three levels. He brings athleticism and length on both ends of the floor where he can be dominant on the glass. Hammermeister can often at times play the 2-guard position and shoot it from the perimeter at a respectable percentage. Hammermeister will look to play a big role for The Villages this upcoming season where they are led with a youthful core in the front court. Hammermeister could be the real deal prospect in this class as he could start reeling in some college interest.
